Billpad is a browser-based invoice document generator for freelancers and small businesses. Its free core editor creates invoices, estimates, receipts and proforma invoices without signup, then exports PDFs. It supports 46 currencies, A4 and Letter layouts, per-line tax, discounts, partial payments, local drafts and JSON backups. An optional free account adds saved clients, documents and email features with usage limits. Pro plans are listed on the pricing page, with billing activation pending. Billpad is an independent developer project based in China, started in 2026. It is not full accounting software or a payment processing service.
