BetaLobby is a free mutual closed testing platform for indie Android developers. New personal Google Play developer accounts must run a closed test with at least 12 testers opted in for 14 days in a row before they can apply for production access. BetaLobby helps developers meet that requirement by testing each other's apps.
- One shared Google Group: developers add betalobby@googlegroups.com to their closed testing track. Each app is checked before it is listed.
- Teams of 16: each developer installs the other 15 apps, so every app ends up with 15 testers.
- Verified on device: the Android app confirms installs and daily check-ins. No screenshots.
- TRUST score: members who miss installs or check-ins lose TRUST and can't join teams.
- Free tools and guides, including a production access questionnaire tool.
BetaLobby is free, with no paid plans. It is available on Google Play for Android.
