BeEF, which stands for Browser Exploitation Framework, is an open-source penetration testing tool designed to assess the security of web browsers. It allows security researchers and penetration testers to utilize client-side attack vectors to assess the security posture of a target. BeEF works by hooking one or more web browsers as beachheads for launching directed command modules and further attacks against the system from within the context of the browser.
