B2B Onboard handles the front door of wholesale on Shopify: a hosted application form (served via App Proxy — no theme code) where buyers apply for trade accounts. The form adapts to the buyer's country, and submitted tax IDs are verified in real time against official registries — EU VAT via VIES, UK VAT via HMRC, Australian ABN via the ABR, and Danish CVR — with the registered business name cross-checked against the application. US buyers can upload resale certificates, which are scanned by AI and flagged for a human look when names, states, or dates don't match. Approving an application creates the Shopify B2B company, location, and contact on any paid plan. Verified businesses can auto-approve; everything else queues for review with evidence attached.
