Ask BONBON is an AI assistant built for electricians, apprentices, contractors and inspectors. Users type or speak an electrical code question, such as the grounding rules for a detached garage subpanel, and get a plain-language answer with the National Electrical Code (NEC) article cited. Canadian Electrical Code (CEC) questions are also supported. Paid plans add photo and plan uploads. A photo of rough-in or finished work returns an inspection report with findings checked against the NEC. A PDF or photo of a plan set returns a plan overview with square footage, a load calculation summary, counts of receptacles and lights, and a rough materials list. The app includes calculators for conduit fill, voltage drop, box fill, wire sizing, load calculations, conduit bending, motor circuits and grounding. Questions can be asked in English, Spanish, French and other languages. Ask BONBON runs on iPhone, Android and the web. The basic version is free, and paid plans start with a 14-day free trial.
