Start a Press is a white-label publishing platform for small presses, book coaches, ghostwriters and organisations that want to run their own publishing company. Each press gets its own branded website, an author portal and a publisher office, run day to day by an AI agent on the press's own ChatGPT account. The agent answers author email, drafts quotes, takes finished manuscripts through AI copyediting, covers, EPUB and print interiors, metadata and distribution through the press's own IngramSpark and KDP accounts, imports KDP and Ingram sales reports, calculates royalties with treaty withholding, and tracks W-9 and W-8BEN tax forms. Money, contracts and promises to authors always wait for the owner's approval. The press keeps its brand, domain, storefront (its own Stripe or PayPal), ISBNs, authors, contracts and revenue, and can export everything. Plans are priced by total titles: Starter $99 a month (up to 99 titles), Growth $199 (100 to 499) and Press $349 (500 and up), month to month, with two months free on annual billing.
