Business Box is booking software built for small service businesses in Japan: clinics, salons, therapists, tutors, consultants, photographers, trainers and anyone else who sells appointments.
You publish a booking page with one link per appointment type, each with its own length, price, questions and hours. Customers pick from your real availability and book themselves in.
Your calendar stays in step. Connect Google Calendar or Microsoft Outlook (including Microsoft 365). Existing events block out times, each booking is written into your calendar with a Google Meet or Microsoft Teams link, and if you move a booking in your calendar, Business Box follows the move and re-times the reminders.
Take payment in yen before the slot is confirmed. You connect your own Stripe account, so each payment is created directly on your account and the money is yours. We take no commission. Stripe's processing fee is between you and Stripe. Each appointment type carries its own cancellation policy, shown before the customer pays and applied automatically when they cancel. If you prefer to be paid at the appointment in cash, by your own card reader or by invoice, you can show the price and collect it in person, which needs no Stripe account and no subscription.
It is built for Japan. Japanese public holidays, including substitute holidays, close your diary automatically, using the Cabinet Office's published dates. Yen is handled as a zero-decimal currency throughout. Booking pages, confirmations and reminders work in English and Japanese, and each customer gets their own language, whatever language you use yourself.
Pricing is simple. The free plan has no time limit and needs no card. It includes booking pages, unlimited bookings and event types, calendar sync, invite links and the website widget. Taking card payment online is ¥1,200 a month, tax included, and you can cancel any time and drop back to free.
For developers, a REST API with webhooks and an OpenAPI document is available on every plan.
What it does not do yet: group classes, recurring bookings, multiple staff logins, LINE or SMS reminders, and convenience store or PayPay payments.
