Alio is a point-of-sale system built only for nail salons. It runs in the browser on the iPad or computer a salon already has, and it keeps the card terminal and processor they already use — Alio records payments and takes no percentage of sales.
At the front desk, Alio tracks turns fairly (fewest turns, strict rotation or longest free, with half turns and requested clients), checks clients in on an iPad, and lets the client choose their tip — including a tip split between two technicians — and how to pay on the iPad. The desk hears a chime with the exact amount to run.
Behind the scenes, Alio runs commission payroll the way nail salons pay: commission, a check and cash split, card-tip fees, supply fees and guaranteed pay, with a pay stub each technician sees in their own staff app.
To bring clients back, Alio includes memberships, prepaid credit with top-up bonuses, automatic VIP levels, gift cards by email or text, online booking, and promotions that AI can write from a one-line idea. Every client gets a rewards card on their phone in the salon's name — no download or password.
Alio keeps working when the internet drops, and the front desk and staff app work in English and Vietnamese.
