Absentia is Annual leave software for teams that need policy flexibility. Absentia helps organisations track annual leave and other absences when employees do not all share the same contract or leave year. Absentia is built for teams that mix full-time, part-time, and hourly staff, or that hire throughout the year. Each employee can have their own leave-year dates, an allowance measured in days or hours, and a work schedule the system uses to calculate deductions. Leave can accrue per person, including the option to book against leave that will have been earned by the holiday date. Bank holidays, pro-rata allowances, carry-over, and expiry rules are handled in the product. Employees request leave themselves, see their remaining allowance, and view a team calendar. Managers approve or decline requests when approval is required. Departments can have their own approvers and absence limits. Employees can have custom approvers assigned and further approval customisations. A privacy mode restricts what colleagues can see. Approved leave can be synced to external calendars with an iCal feed.
