So every time you add a new system the cost goes up. We've been using Jitterbit for several years and have added several systems to Jitterbit. What was once a modest investment has become much more significant. This has discouraged us from implementing Jitterbit in as many places as we could. There was a steep learning curve in developing on Jitterbit and using their development platform, Jitterbit Studio. When changes in process arise or customizations are needed, App Builder and be redesigned to accommodate. It is hard to find good examples of more complicated logic. The online training is sometimes hard to follow due to the speed the training is going, sometimes lacking explanation of what is being done on the system and why, and some areas of training jump all over the place and feel disconnected. It has given us the capability to deliver many great projects in Vinyl. **What do you dislike about Jitterbit?** Vinyl has a learning curve, but nothing is more extreme than any other platform. However, some features are not intuitive and are not always fully documented. The layout is intuitive, and the knowledge base is very informative for whatever questions you may have while developing. As a low-code platform, it is incredibly functional and versatile. There are many ways to develop as quickly or as customizable as possible (depending on your preferences). If you need functionality out by tomorrow, VINYL should have no issues allowing you to do so quickly. If you want something to look visually appealing and to be functionally robust, you can do that too. There are very few limitations with VINYL and with the right training and a bit of time, it feels like no development feat is out of reach. **What do you dislike about Jitterbit?** The "Themes" can be difficult to work with (although some of this may be due to my lack of HTML/CSS terminology and knowledge). This comes more into play when wanting to really get into the weeds of customizing the webpages' appearance and other smaller adjustments. It is not always obvious (to me at least) whether a theme should be placed at the Control, Group, or Panel level when wanting to adjust things like font size or margin/padding. **What problems is Jitterbit solving and how is that benefiting you?** Our users import large amounts of data (100's of thousands of rows) regularly and this data needs to be processed before ultimately being placed into reports that must be very accurate (per our industry). VINYL makes all of this processing and importing go very smoothly and without issues (for the most part). When we do run into issues, they are generally easy to troubleshoot and fix. ### 17. An application can progress from an idea to a proof-of-concept in hours - not weeks, or months. The online training is comprehensive, so I was able to quickly ramp-up. There is an active community of app developers who are willing to share their know-how, and a knowledge-base that is a permanent record of questions and answers from the developers. In short, Vinyl is a powerful platform. **What do you dislike about Jitterbit?** In the development work I've done, I don't have a complaint. The platform has worked as expected, the technology is mature, and if I don't know how to achieve something I can get help from the Wiki, or ask a Question on the Forums, or even ask for specific help. The support team has also been easy to work with when I've asked for help at the database server level. My observation is that the capabilities of Vinyl are huge (hello REST APIs, Widgets, Workflow, etc.,), and I don't have time to learn about those capabilities at the moment. **What problems is Jitterbit solving and how is that benefiting you?** I have been building a suite of applications to improve the delivery capabilities of my Consulting Business, and to provide a differentiator between my business and my competitors.
