
We have a lot of customizability within the platform, and the level of insights you can access is very transparent—down to the actual responses within the full dataset. They’re constantly building new features and they listen to the users on their platform. There is a bit of a learning curve, but we can stay on top of it with all the other features Profound offers as well, like content-creation tools that are specifically tailored to your dataset, which is important for more detailed campaigns. We’ve tried so many different tools over the past year or two, and Profound has everything the other tools had, plus more, with higher levels of reporting and insights available—including insights on your competitors. There’s a decent learning curve involved. At first, some of the metrics and KPIs can sound the same, or it can feel like there are discrepancies in what different metrics are saying, but I think that’s really just a reflection of how nuanced the insights from Profound can be. Every once in a while, a few reports may seem temporarily wonky. For example, it’s great that you can add tags and organize tracked prompts into groups or topics with a high level of specificity, but sometimes the “modify prompts” section bugs out and you end up having to repeat those changes.
