The spending tool is A.I.-backed has the ability to learn from past spending patterns. It is also the most used tool. The Procure-to-Pay systems are quite new and they cannot scan the metadata from invoices, making the P2P system not as smart as the others. **What do you dislike about Zycus Source-to-Pay?** I disliked the Supplier management system & the AP automation system the most as it has been quite a challenge dealing with invoices on the P2P system. The supplier management system requires a lot of checks to be filled from the supplier end which is difficult to adopt for the suppliers. **What problems is Zycus Source-to-Pay solving and how is that benefiting you?** Zycus customers have used the spending tool to categorize their spending to determine where they are spending most and reduce or categorize their spending under a single bucket. This helps them make better decisions for the next soucing cycle and better negotiate their contracts with suppliers. ### 5. The Sell side management of contracts is not well defined. This is better for customers who are managing contracts with Vendors (which we are using as well). There was no solution found during vetting that was strong on both sides of Contract management. Buy side works OK but vendor is not good at keeping to timelines. Account manager oversold capabilities. **Recommendations to others considering Zycus Source-to-Pay:** As long as you don't require live integrations with something like an ERP or CRM such as Salesforce. **What problems is Zycus Source-to-Pay solving and how is that benefiting you?** Tracking contracts with vendors, not much business value without an API. Cannot integrate with external systems, have to use flat file data loads. ### 11. Here are some examples: Zycus does not currently provide the ability to run reports based on the manufacturer and manufacturer part number fields. The item master is separate from and not tied to the sourcing catalogs, which is not good in manufacturing environments. **Recommendations to others considering Zycus Source-to-Pay:** Only buy the modules you need from the beginning and then add on from there. We have an implementer who is very polite. **What do you dislike about Zycus Source-to-Pay?** it's very rigid; you can't upload your own suppliers into iSource, you have to either pay or hand enter them. You can't widen columns so only the first few characters appear (although there's much more space). You can't even graph savings % unless you hand calculate it and enter it as a value in a custom field. Our Implementation and support teams are 100% offshore. We were told it was 'highly configurable' but we hadn't realized they're the only ones who can configure it, and 'highly' is a relative term. **Recommendations to others considering Zycus Source-to-Pay:** consider carefully how you report savings & such. If you don't calculate it their way, or you need to report it for all deals, not just those that are sourced with a RFQ/RFP, be sure you see EXACTLY how it will be performed BEFORE you buy this tool.
