What do you like best?

Can handle a lot of bill runs (we have a lot of small value customers).

Good at quikcly changing prices

Easy for sales team to build quotes

Locks down month end reporting and recognises revenue automatically. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike?

The company is big, make that MASSIVE, on marketing and that always worries me. I attended their Subscribed Event and nearly vomited on the sickly sweet "we're so excited about our new launch" and then proceeded to announce nothing materially interesting to us.

Here are some more specifics:

- Revenue recognition rules are pretty basic

- It doesn't deal with Currency conversion

- Usage uploads work only after 5-10 attempts with no obvious reason why and then get recorded as £0 recurring revenue (despite recurring)

- OneTime products look clunky on invoices (they get given a single date as the time period, which is wrong) and clutter the list of subscriptions (which ones are active vs OneTime?)

- If you are using SFDC it can't report historic metrics like MRR

What do you like best?

Zuora enabled us to provide a better subscrition system than ever. We can personalize the bills so that they are customerspecific and they have the feeling we care about every single one. The customer can always access the subscrition management portal, in order to see which are active and for how long. He can easily change his subscrtion plan and add or remove services. The reporting system is for us really good, since you can personlize each revenue report quite easily. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike?

The program is not self explanatory, we had to invest a lot of time in order to understand it, and know where to find the tools needed. But it was managable with their help page and some calls to their customer service. As long as it is intuitive at the customer side, it is no major problem for us. What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We use Zuora as subscrition manager, in order to provide customers easy access to their active subscritions, easy change plans and upgrade/downgrade when needed. What do you like best?

it keeps things simple through automation. UI is nice, UX is good, overall its not too complicated to use. Fairly simple, simple is good. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike?

i am not sure if there is really a dislike. I've never used any other service. but its pretty good. i think it works out for Zuora because i am of the mindset that if a first time user uses this and likes it, they wont leave. If anyone starts looking elsewhere then thats where the problem lies and you will need to spend money to figure out what made this particular user go searching for something else to use. if they like it, thats great because now you will have a regular user. Most poeple are lazy, and only change if they are forced to. by doing something bad, tweaking your product to something not user friendly or confusing or anything that is a turn off, it will give the user an incentive to leave. so, like i said earlier, i'm not sure if there is really a dislike, which means your product is pretty good. dont give me a reason to leave. What do you like best?

Zuora's billing is solid. We just don't have issues with billing. CPQ is relatively straight forward to use in Salesforce given our transactional sales cycle. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike?

I've used Zuora for about 10 years now - spoke for them at their Subscribed events, Dreamforce, etc. The top 3 issues that continue to recur:

1. Under pressure to deliver wall street results, they pass that along to their customers upon renewal. It's never about how can we make sure you're happy and we're charging you based on the value received, but it's about retaining ACV and trying to grow ACV from each customer every single year. And their tactics are dirty ones that I've never experience from any other vendor.

2. I've had multiple challenges with their professional services in the past (granted, the last engagement was about 4-5 years ago now).

3. Their platform data model is complicated, so it can be difficult to figure out how to pull billing metrics from it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best?

It is a software that offers a really solid billing system to incorporate into different types of companies no matter how small or large they are. One of the things that I like about the program is that they add functionalities constantly so it is noticeable that its developers are constantly moving in order to make Zuora one of the best platforms in its field. What do you dislike?

- The documentation is not the best, this forces you to go to the articles of help and even contact the support to solve any issues that arise.

- The customization of the tool is not one of its strengths, with limited options for the user.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

I consider Zuora to be one of the most complete software in terms of a billing system focused on large companies for which it has important scalable qualities. Among the different applications that this tool integrates are Paypal Business, Stripe, Salesforce, Amazon Pay which makes sure to cover the most popular payment platforms present in the market. The ability to extract information from customers as well as the creation of reports is above average so I recommend to any type of company to take their time to use this software, you will love it. The company I work for needs to monitor many important variables for us, one of the main requirements you had was to keep track of all the money we receive as well as which products are most requested and the profits that these they leave us. If you want to integrate Zuora with ANY 3rd party software including your own you will be best to look elsewhere. They talk a good game but are unhelpful in reality. Each thing they appear to promise is half-baked and not fit for purpose. I sorely wish we had never used it and begrudge the exorbitant payment we yield to them that I think they happily receive knowing that since Zuora is utterly tied into our systems we can't easily remove it. What do you like best?

Zuora does it's function of billing our customers. Zuora is pretty easy to manage on a daily basis. The reports and billing and payments runs are easy to review and audit. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike?

I think the biggest pet peeve is that when entering a new payment method for a customer there is no way to make that the default payment type without editing the account after you enter it. There should be a way to make a payment method the default when entering it in the system. There are other small things like this that make users frustrated on a daily basis. What do you like best?

I really like this program because through its different editions, it adapts to the needs of my company, it allows me to manage the different changes to be made to the products and their prices, as well as the administration of records and administration of taxes.

Zuora has an extraordinary technical support team, because I love that they had effective solutions that met our expectations and needs as a company, I also like that I can extract different reports, because that allows me to observe valuable data for my work meetings, plus that your billing system is very easy to use and is integrated with the sales team system. What do you dislike?

What do you like best?

The security behind this product is very well developed and can make clients feel safe. There is a ton of custom features with this software so help your company's billing products be easily integrated with Salesforce. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike?

The entire user experience as well as client experience. I, along with every member on my sales team have lost multiple deals due to Zuora functionality not working. Software is extremely buggy, slow, and not the easiest to use. Clients experience a lot of the bugs and when they are putting their credit card or bank account information to spend thousands of dollars on your product, this is their first experience. The Zuora system not working. I have spent hours working with engineers trying to get client's payment information to work so I can simply close a deal. This system has caused so many issues and clients have walked away because of Zuora's lack of working properly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Go with another system. On paper Zuora looks great, but in reality it will cause your whole sales team issues as well as your admin users who will need to spend a lot of time fixing bugs. What do you like best?

After migrating from an internal billing system to a 3rd party billing solution that almost killed our company, we migrated to Zuora. Quite simply, it works and we look forward to adding different applications as we grow. At this point, we have a simple product offering and do not need RevPro. What do you like best?

What do you dislike?

Currently we do not have Revpro and therefore we struggle with the 606 recognition. We also have Zuora set up to recognize all revenue upfront which causes more work on the back end. What do you like best?
