I was extremely impressed with the Zuora team who lead our implementation. They were experienced, knowledgable, patient and kind. Excellent follow-through. It's been over 3 months since we've been live with Zuora for our billing. It's definitely a step up from our prior home-grown solution which involved integrating Stripe & other tools. With Zuora, we have greater visibility into the status of our billing, and greater functionality to price our products and services, employ discounting, and bill our customers. The API is powerful. Zuora has a very robust database / data model and functionality to meet our needs. However, the user interface leaves a little to be desired. The API is powerful and useful, however, I find myself wishing for more powerful in-app editing capabilities - such as the ability to bulk edit accounts. We wish the integration with the Stripe gateway had more functionality such as auto card updater and ability to void credit card transactions. Not sure if this is a Stripe API limitation or not. The calm layout, no unnecessary shapes, buttons, colours or pop-ups. The fact that the Back button on the browser is enough to get you on the previous page without closing what you are viewing. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The menu on the left, I never use it, it takes you out of the Account you are looking at and exits you completely. I wish I had more access to the payment details, not just "Processed", "Posted", and "Error", but this might be the settings of my profile by the company. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

We like that it is designed for both corporate-level accounting as well as consumer-level billing and it is already audit ready. We also love the additional modern payment methods that it brings to the table for our consumers with the likes of apple pay, google pay, and amazon pay, you can nearly take any and all forms of payment with proper integrations. One thing that could use improvement is the integration with our existing custom in-house billing systems. The integrations with backend processes to facilitate subscription creation, cancelation, and extension have taken longer than expected. That being said the zuora team is responsive. Honestly, once you get used to the system and the way things work, it's pretty easy to use. It is especially beneficial in terms of customers who have contracts with us that span multiple years, and the way it groups said contracts together. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The discount piece on invoices can be a bit difficult when it comes to discounts that should be applied at a line level (percent) or discounts that should be applied to the whole invoice (flat rate). It's very easy to use.
