## Zscaler Internet Access Reviews
  ### 1. Easy to Troubleshoot, but Frequent Repair Needed After Updates

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Hospital & Health Care | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 11, 2026

**What do you like best about Zscaler Internet Access?**

This tool was implemented on my work device and I've have found it to be easy to troubleshoot and repair with IT. This is important for remote workers like me.

**What do you dislike about Zscaler Internet Access?**

Usually the tool is very easy and runs its software updates as designed by IT. But we frequently need to "repair the app" in the tool when it updates incorrectly. This causes site blockages that shouldn't be.

**What problems is Zscaler Internet Access solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The Zscaler tool was implemented on my computer for me by IT. From my understanding, it helps block and allow certain websites for employees in the enterprise.

  ### 2. Strong Malware Protection, But Repeated Login Errors

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Hospital & Health Care | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 01, 2026

**What do you like best about Zscaler Internet Access?**

I like that it protects against possible viruses and software attacks from malware or ransomware. It also doesn't affect internet speed at all. It is easy to install

**What do you dislike about Zscaler Internet Access?**

It has an error in which you have to randomly re-authenticate multiple times throughout the day, even if you already logged on when first using the internet. This can affect workflow. Sometimes, some software on your computer stops working and you don't know why but then when you reauthenticate Zscaler, it works again so you realize it's a Zscaler issue.

**What problems is Zscaler Internet Access solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps secure the workplace from malware or ransomware attacks when accessing the cloud or surfing the internet. It is antivirus, so you don't need another antivirus software installed.

  ### 3. AI-Powered Security, But With Troubleshooting Hiccups

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** mostafa s. | Senior Network Security Engineer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 05, 2026

**What do you like best about Zscaler Internet Access?**

I like Zscaler Internet Access for its direct to cloud access, eliminating VPN lag and providing centralized management, global policy control, and real-time analytics. I appreciate its AI-powered SSL inspection, as it effectively scans and detects zero-day threats, transitioning smoothly where traditional filters might miss. The feature that stands out the most for me is the AI-powered SSL inspection, which has turned our biggest security blind spot into our strongest layer of defense. Zscaler's solution allows us to inspect all encrypted traffic without slowing down our bandwidth or forcing hardware upgrades. I also love the scalability since it's cloud-native, and it doesn't require worrying about CPU cycles, whether you have a small or large number of users streaming or downloading heavy data. It makes the VPN experience actually feel faster than being in the office and provides anti-virus engines without the latency that multiple appliances would introduce.

**What do you dislike about Zscaler Internet Access?**

It's easy for an admin to accidentally create overlapping roles and troubleshooting exactly why a specific site is blocked can sometimes feel like finding a needle in a haystack. Mainly, developer tools like Docker, Python, and Git use their own internal trust stores instead of the system's certificate store, leading to problems when Zscaler Internet Access tries to inspect this traffic. It frequently breaks the developer environment, requiring significant time to build workarounds. Additionally, when a user moves from a wired connection to Wi-Fi or a 5G hotspot, the Zscaler client connector can get stuck, leaving the user without internet access for up to sixty seconds. Finally, during network transitions, the client connector isn't always as seamless as hardware-based breakouts, especially on Mac OS or Linux.

**What problems is Zscaler Internet Access solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Zscaler Internet Access eliminates VPN lag with direct cloud access and enhances security with AI-powered SSL inspection, reducing latency by 4% and replacing expensive hardware. It inspects encrypted traffic and turns laptops into secure branches, addressing hybrid work challenges and legacy VPN limitations.

  ### 4. Convenient Setup, but Overblocking Makes Access a Nightmare

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Banking | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 28, 2026

**What do you like best about Zscaler Internet Access?**

It starts automatically and helps ensure you search safely on your laptop. Because of that, the setup feels effortless, and it’s easy to install and use. Overall, it’s very convenient.

**What do you dislike about Zscaler Internet Access?**

It sometimes blocks websites that I actually need, and the admin hassle involved in getting around those blocks isn’t set up very well. Overall, it becomes a nightmare when I’m just trying to get access.

**What problems is Zscaler Internet Access solving and how is that benefiting you?**

You don’t have to think too much about safe browsing and searching. Zscaler takes care of that for you and, in that sense, helps improve your compliant behaviour. Very good.

  ### 5. Great Centralized VM Access, but Connection and Access Controls Need Work

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Hospital & Health Care | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 30, 2026

**What do you like best about Zscaler Internet Access?**

It’s a good tool for having centralized access to all client-facing virtual machines. The best part is that it can be accessed over port 443, rather than relying on the typical RDP port.

**What do you dislike about Zscaler Internet Access?**

The connection is usually inconsistent. Access control also feels limited because it relies on usernames rather than role-based access. On top of that, access to the clipboard and local drives is terrible.

**What problems is Zscaler Internet Access solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It provides single-window access to all my virtual machines, without frequent login prompts. I don’t need to remember separate credentials for each machine, domain, or region, which makes access much simpler.

  ### 6. Easy Remote Management, with Occasional Speed and Latency Dips

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer & Network Security | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 30, 2026

**What do you like best about Zscaler Internet Access?**

It auto-connects in the background with a minimal, straightforward setup. The admin can take care of everything remotely, which makes it easy to manage. Internet speed isn’t hampered as much as with other competitors.

**What do you dislike about Zscaler Internet Access?**

Slight to moderate decrease in latency and internet speed, intermittently. Other than than most of the time a good speed with good latency is maintained.

**What problems is Zscaler Internet Access solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Security and safe internet access, with easy deployment to all employees. Minimal setup headaches, plus the ability to make remote configuration changes. VPN speeds are maintained after connecting.

  ### 7. Strong Protection from Risky Sites, but Whitelisting Process Needs Improvement

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer & Network Security | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 14, 2025

**What do you like best about Zscaler Internet Access?**

Zscaler protect the company from tricky and risky web sites that can introduce risk into the company assets. With a large database of web sites that need to be blocked and those can affect security and compliance.

**What do you dislike about Zscaler Internet Access?**

There is a plenty cases where is a valid bussines case that need access to a particular resource. The process of white list the page is slow and tedious that can cost the company several thousands of dollars in lost of productivity.

**What problems is Zscaler Internet Access solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Is trying to prevent leaking of confidential information, and block user to access un approved web sites. But the way that the product is deployed defeat his reason all the sites are blocked by default and the process to white listed a site is slow and tedious

  ### 8. Easy Cloud Security and Smooth Performance, But Room for Improvement

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Program Development | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 12, 2025

**What do you like best about Zscaler Internet Access?**

Zscaler Internet Access simplifies cloud security and makes it highly effective. It protects users, updates itself automatically, and the dashboard makes monitoring incredibly easy. Performance stays smooth while maintaining network security, which I find impressive.

**What do you dislike about Zscaler Internet Access?**

Zscaler Internet Access simplifies cloud security while delivering strong protection. It safeguards users no matter where they are, updates itself automatically, and features a dashboard that makes monitoring straightforward. The network stays secure without sacrificing smooth performance.

**What problems is Zscaler Internet Access solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Zscaler Internet Access keeps my internet experience secure by blocking viruses, phishing attempts, and other online threats. No matter where I am, it continues to protect me, allowing me to use the web and cloud applications with confidence. Additionally, it simplifies security management and helps IT save time.

  ### 9. Internet

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Geovanna D. | Mercy Care Case Manager, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 04, 2025

**What do you like best about Zscaler Internet Access?**

Available anytime. As a case manager i wished we had a MIFI to take with us to our reviews.

**What do you dislike about Zscaler Internet Access?**

The internet goes on and off all of a sudden when working.

**What problems is Zscaler Internet Access solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The issue is when the service turns off all of a sudden.

  ### 10. Painful Experiences with Zscaler

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Environmental Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 04, 2024

**What do you like best about Zscaler Internet Access?**

I don't see any standout feature from Zscaler after using for 2 years.

**What do you dislike about Zscaler Internet Access?**

- Connection is instable quite frequently, keeps disconnected and disrupt employees' normal daily work;
- Internet website categorization is incorrect, making quite a few normal business websites into the wrong category, like "Porn" etc.
- Advanced feature are super expensive for unknown reason;
- Troubleshooting takes quite long time and not being able to solve the issues.

**What problems is Zscaler Internet Access solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Internet access management

  ### 11. Enforces compliance - no matter what!

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** David K. | Associate Professor of Medicine, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 21, 2021

**What do you like best about Zscaler Internet Access?**

This client is supposed to be user transparent.. and it is, as long as you have a standard configuration PC. If you have custom setups or need access to a broad variety of networks (such as road warriors), be prepared to have some bumps. It does allow passthroughs on trusted networks to essential functionality (such as Office 365 outlook or gmail) which has reduced traffic on our unsecured network by employees who need these functions. (Email?? who would have thought we needed email??)

**What do you dislike about Zscaler Internet Access?**

If you have custom setups or need access to a broad variety of networks (such as road warriors), be prepared to have some bumps. You may have conflicts with network adaptors or VPN clients that need to run on top of Zscaler... so that the multiple layers of security create situations where users can't be optimally productive.

**What problems is Zscaler Internet Access solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We were having a lot of traffic on our unsecure guest network by staff who needed access to email to communicate. Apparently texting each other on their cell phones wasn't doing the job. So now we have better traffic control, and yet are protected from external threats. It's a much better productivity scenario than just banning email access on the trusted network.

  ### 12. Zscaler do the work but with a cost

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sukumar M. | Mr. , Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 29, 2021

**What do you like best about Zscaler Internet Access?**

I like that it never fails; it goes with the track every time, and I do my work as expected.

**What do you dislike about Zscaler Internet Access?**

I wouldn't say I like that it reduced my internet speed to a significantly lower one.

**What problems is Zscaler Internet Access solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am connecting to the internet with a company-defined protocol.

  ### 13. Don’t notice it

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Meridith S. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 29, 2018

**What do you like best about Zscaler Internet Access?**

It turns on when I turn my computer on and seems to be working seamlessly in the background and maintaining security on my computer without me having to do anything

**What do you dislike about Zscaler Internet Access?**

No complaints for this software, I could not think of what to improve

**What problems is Zscaler Internet Access solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Security on computer and cloud software

  ### 14. One of the best secure Internet and web gateway

IT enables the users to connect direct to the Internet via the Zscaler cloud and bypass slower hub-and-spoke architectures. Also, this application reduces the cost of maintenance of security appliances. It is a very effective solution against zero day exploits.

**What do you dislike about Zscaler Internet Access?**

The cost of implementation is slightly on the higher side as compared to other products in the market,
