I also enjoy the multiple screen sharing feature that accommodates many users, which is quite helpful in collaborative sessions. Additionally, I found the initial setup of Zoom Workplace easy to install. **What do you dislike about Zoom Workplace?** I think the voice quality could be improved. The interface is intuitive. The admin tool that consolidates all our company accounts is fine. **What do you dislike about Zoom Workplace?** Now that MS Teams has become a leading contender (it is just as reliable and easy to use), we use MS Teams a lot more than Zoom because MS Teams has become a central app that integrates with all the other essential apps our organization uses. Zoom continues to add functionality to Workplace, but nothing that MS doesn't already have. Microsoft, however, has greatly improved MS Teams. As a not-for-profit organization, it's very cost effective to take advantage of Microsoft's discounts. Zoom is just an unnecessary cost now. Also, their billing services are the worst I've ever had to deal with. They used to be fantastic, but something has apparently happened with their success and growth. I found myself fighting with them for the past two years to undo a mistake they made (changing us to a more expensive version that we did not request). There was little response, and I followed their terms to submit a pre-arbitration demand. It was never completely resolved and we paid over $10K for a product we did not want. We are canceling our business licenses at the end of this agreement term and going back to the Pro version where the few users who use Workplace will expense it instead of us administrating it from IT. **What problems is Zoom Workplace solving and how is that benefiting you?** We have a few users who are loyal to Zoom and resistant to trying MS Teams because when MS Teams was first released it was unstable. Zoom only causes problems now by dividing our users into two "camps" for video conferencing. ### 9. I had an issue where Zoom deleted one of my links to a meeting. I lost a lot of money that evening because no one was able to log on to my class and it took a while to figure out what happened. I wasn't able to get my issue resolved promptly and no compensation was offered by zoom for the inconvenience they caused me. I would upgrade my subscription because I like the features on the other packages but because of the negative experience, I had before I will not be spending more money with Zoom than I have to. That I can't change the size of the video format after recording. the quality is often miserable. I have often disruptions with clients even though the internet is working just fine. The classes that I host are primarily online, so Zoom makes my classes feel just like how they were before the quarantine had occurred. **What do you dislike about Zoom Workplace?** There are a plethora of things that make Zoom seem like it was never actually finished. Zoom always has an excessive amount of connection issues, and my students are always complaining about being unable to join. I know this isn't their end because I always ask to provide a screenshot, and they get the same error code I get whenever I enter a conference call. **What problems is Zoom Workplace solving and how is that benefiting you?** The only TRUE benefit that I've realized with Zoom would be the worldwide connection that you can use to host events for others to join. It's quite possibly the only thing that they have going for them. I've genuinely never heard of this application before the quarantine began, and I guess it's become the meta for virtual activities. ### 40. There are three very bad things about Zoom: 1) A user is muted and doesn't realize it, plus the conversations of many people trying to help them get un-muted 2) A user is unmuted and transmitting sounds, noise or conversations they did not intend 3) The awkward videos of people trying to find the leave button. What they really need to implement is a water-mark like overlay on your video that tells you when you're muted and the mic is detecting you talking, and a similar overlay to tell you that all your sound is being transmitted. Also, it would be helpful if when the meeting detects people leaving it would throw a LEAVE button right in the center of your screen. There are other weird things about Zoom as an admin, like you can't make changes to your breakout rooms unless the meeting is started, so we have to start a little early and rush to make the changed. Support is absolutely horrible. We had an issue on a Mac going on 6 months and support could never figure it out. The uninstaller was not removing all components so had a computer genius go in and manually remove all files so that a clean install could succeed. After using Teams for meetings, I find that I never want to use Zoom again. It's just a better experience all around with Teams. **Recommendations to others considering Zoom Workplace:** Unless you need a feature that only Zoom has (breakout rooms for example) consider Microsoft Teams. Even if you've looked at Teams before, the post-pandemic Teams is a delight to use in comparison to what the product was before. Zoom is stuck behind the times. **What problems is Zoom Workplace solving and how is that benefiting you?** We use zoom to broadcast events that anybody can tie in and watch, as well as private meetings. It is a great feature that people without a zoom account can click on the link, download the client, and start watching. In an era where people might be sick or at risk of getting sick, it allows us to continue hosting events and meetings. ### 41. It's absolutely frustrating that in order to add a zoom link to a Gcal event you have to go to a completely separate platform after the two had been so seamlessly integrated before. Additionally, all of the other zoom add-on features like Chat and whatnot are now redundant thanks to Google workplace upgrades. **Recommendations to others considering Zoom Workplace:** If you can accomplish what you need through the google suite, no need to pay the premium of zoom licenses.
