Because of Zoom's ubiquity for meetings, people know the name and are (more or less) used to the interface. **What do you dislike about Zoom Events and Webinars?** First, Zoom Webinar is ridiculously glitchy. We've had problems with presenters being able to enter the webinar, with reminder notices going out *eight hours after an event has concluded*, and with broadcast quality. If you want to rely on a smooth webinar experience, Zoom isn't for you. Second, Zoom is missing a lot of core webinar features that should be table stakes today. There's no pre-webinar waiting room or post-webinar exit page. There's no ability to distribute resources or files. The polling and survey functions are rudimentary. The chat is bewildering for most attendees. Customization of landing pages, reminders, and calendar invites is almost nonexistent. Finally, as an administrator, there are a lot of poor choices on the backend. Workable, but just not well-conceived. We can log in and automatically see the presenters and their PowerPoint. I enjoy listening to the music while we wait for the presesnters to start and playing the ineractive games on the screens they have with the annoate feature. Zoom has so many features that people are unaware of, and it makes the experience enjoyable. I also like the poll option. We can ask filler questions to get a sense of how people are feeling and what they would like to do. **What do you dislike about Zoom Events and Webinars?** At times people disable the chat, and it's hard to interact with other people in the webinar. We could have the same questions and concerns. If that is possible, we could figure it out ourselves without being redundant in the Q&A section. I know it cuts down on then endless chatter, however some people could have repettive questions and allowing the Q&A to be open for at least the last 30 mintues could save a lot of time for the presenters reading the same questin over and over again. And for the particpants who have an acutal question that can be discouraging and frustating. I know it would be for me. **Recommendations to others considering Zoom Events and Webinars:** I feel like one recommendation would be to add more to the annotate section. It is an excellent function, and I know it has so much potential. Maybe even add pre-installed games for added fun. Maybe a tic, tac, toe, or a word game for ice breakers so people can have fun before they talk business for x amount of hours. It would make time go by so much faster and I know people will love the ice breaker in the morning that doesn't invovle talking to people or two truths and a lie. I know I would. **What problems is Zoom Events and Webinars solving and how is that benefiting you?** I mainly use zoom webinars as a participant, and I learn captciy building skills to help my community. I want to work in non-profits so learning how I can behind the scenes be fantastic for me, and having a one on one chance to hear people speak on it is a perk. I love how zoom allows me to listen to people I would never be afforded the oppournity to listen to speak before and I make sure I jump at the chance to hear them if I can. I hope we can always utilize zoom in the future for people who have a fear of flying, but would love to attend conferences and meetings. Since the pandemic has started, I have been able to attend due to finanaical reasons and I am so lucky I was able to attend. For example, under the "Branding" tab is where you add speaker bios. Really? And then for the polling feature, it has two options - "Single Choice" and "Multiple Choice." In Zoom-speak though, both are what we all think of as multiple choice, but "Multiple Choice" is where you can select multiple options. And then it has fields for about a dozen answers. I can't even describe it. It's almost impressive that they took what should be a stupid simple feature and somehow made it incredibly confusing. This is just a sampling.
