More than 15,000 fleets currently use Zonar solutions, which include fleet management software, video and tethered telematics, electronic verified inspection reporting, predictive maintenance, real-time GPS vehicle tracking, AI-powered dashcams, driver coaching software, electronic logging devices, fuel management, discreet asset tracking and field service management. For student transportation fleets, Zonar also provides school bus routing and fleet management, student rider safety solutions and digital ridership tracking. The company is headquartered in Seattle, Washington, with key offices in Latin America. SOLUTIONS Zonar fleet management is the secure platform where authorized personnel access the information collected by telematics hardware. Features include real-time vehicle tracking on an interactive map, diagnostic reporting, inspections, asset utilization, asset and vehicle theft protection, field service management, reporting and business intelligence, and driver behavior monitoring and scoring. Fleets set their own operating thresholds for idle time, speed, geofences and security indicators, which trigger real-time alerts. The platform integrates with third-party applications and supports standard APIs. The Zonar V4™ telematics control unit (TCU) offers high-definition GPS tracking and 4G connectivity, with OBD-II, SAE J1708/1587 and J1939 compatibility. Along with engine diagnostics, the V4 supports true idle, speed, odometer, dynamic geofencing, fuel usage and anti-tamper alerts. This TCU is installed in light-, medium- and heavy-duty vehicles. The Zonar V4R is a ruggedized version for vehicles that work in tough conditions. The Zonar LD™ is a plug-and-play OBD-II TCU for light-, medium- and heavy-duty vehicles that captures a lighter set of data. Zonar Electronic Verified Inspection Reporting (EVIR®) standardizes the DOT-mandated pre- and post-trip inspection process, and features Zonar inspection tags placed at each inspection zone on a vehicle or asset. The inspector scans each tag as proof that the zone was checked. When the inspection is complete, results upload to Zonar fleet management for review and verification. Zonar EVIR® Mobile is a tagless inspection option available as an app for Android and iOS devices. Inspections are configured to match a fleet's vehicles, powered and non-powered assets, buildings and facilities, and fleet policies. Zonar dashcams, video telematics and driver safety solutions address three main problems: driver safety, vehicle depreciation caused by minor incidents, and driver accident exoneration. Coach is available with forward-facing and dual-facing cameras, giving fleets visibility of the road ahead and the driver. The dashcams’ AI detects 12 safety events, including speeding and distracted driving. The captured video gives fleet managers objective footage for coaching drivers and for clearing drivers who are wrongly accused. Safety teams use the solution’s metrics to measure how well their safety policies and programs are working. Zonar ZTrak® is a small, ruggedized, standalone asset tracker. It runs on a field-replaceable battery that lasts up to 10 years at one or two pings per day. The reusable ZTrak suits non-powered equipment, trailers, generators and similar assets. It is unbranded and built for assets in harsh conditions and remote locations, and for long deployments. A Theft Recovery Mode helps law enforcement locate stolen assets. Zonar Logs™ is the company's electronic logging device (ELD) solution for hours-of-service (HoS) compliance. It is self-certified with the U.S. Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) to meet U.S. ELD regulations and is certified for compliance with Canadian ELD regulations. Zonar Emissions Check™ is a service for completing California Clean Truck Check (CTC) emissions scans on time. Scans run remotely through the vehicle's onboard V4 TCU, and scan data is shared with the California Air Resources Board (CARB) when required. Because the service is fully remote, fleets manage compliant scans at scale without third-party testing costs or buying certified tools. Zonar was the first telematics provider to receive formal CARB certification as a provider of continuously connected remote on-board diagnostic (CC-ROBD) testing devices. Zonar ZFuel™ is a patented report within Zonar fleet management. It compares actual driver habits with a simulated driver performing at maximum efficiency on the same configured trip. Fleets measure performance on factors drivers control, such as speeding, idling, RPMs and cruise control use, and reward drivers based on real-world performance rather than MPG alone. Zonar FaultIQ®, powered by Noregon, is a predictive maintenance solution. Fleets monitor overall fleet health down to each vehicle's health and safety score. The dashboard covers all makes, models and major components, so staff see which vehicles need immediate attention and why. FaultIQ explains each fault code and gives a recommendation for resolving it. Predictions are based on historical fault data and are updated monthly. The aim is fewer roadside breakdowns and less spending on towing and shop fees. Zonar Bus Suite is a student transportation platform that combines routing, GPS, turn-by-turn directions, ridership tools and a parent app. Dispatchers, fleet managers and transportation directors use it to manage runs, routes, field trips, buses and drivers from one place. They can plan routes ahead of time, adjust runs as needed, and keep parents and guardians informed. Zonar Z Pass® is a digital student ridership tracking solution. It records when and where students get on and off the bus. Fleets use the data to support student safety, answer questions and assist personnel during emergencies. They also use it to review vehicle and stop utilization. Zonar field service management software covers scheduling, dispatch, estimates, technician assignments, billing, work orders, invoicing, communications and operational tasks, and scales as a fleet changes in size.
