There are many features that are free in Inventory but not Books, and features that I pay for in Books but can't use in Inventory, forcing me to pay for both services just to have the same features in both apps. For as tightly coupled as the various Zoho apps are, calling them "completely separate products" is a farce. Customer support is moderately helpful. They provide several resources so I could be self sufficent, but anytime I needed a ZOHO specialists, it was easy to get a hold of someone and hop on a call to go over whatever questions I have. Being able to "automate" my inventory based on sales going out the door has reduced the need for daily physical inventory counts. We now just do a verification count at the end of the month, and so far our counts have been spot. While the platform is specifically designed for inventory management, it does a pretty good job of storing all of my customer information and tracking sales, which allows me to use it as a full ERP system. Lastly, it integrates with several well known platforms, including Quickbooks which has allowed me to reduce the burden on my bookkeepers. **What do you dislike about Zoho Inventory?** The only downside I found with Zoho is the limited amount of warehouses you get with the lower tier subscriptions. This is probably a problem that is somewhat unique to me, but being able to track inventory from multiple warehouses with the extra fee would be nice, but the fee is managable so I wont complain much. **What problems is Zoho Inventory solving and how is that benefiting you?** Being able to track/adjust inventory based on sales going out the door has eliminated the need for weekly inventory counts, thus saving hours of time for my staff. The integration with Quickbooks has also reduced the burden on my bookkeepers when they go to close out the books every months. ### 9. The item automatically registers when you type in the name in the orders. The pdf can be dragged into the PO easily. **What do you dislike about Zoho Inventory?** The tracking information takes too many clicks to get to. The client portal is not as customizable. There is no search function, " open orders" filter, and sort function in client portal. There also needs to be open orders function in the main company portal. There is also a lag in the tracking and sometimes, the status only updates after you click into the shipment (aka the order from the main order page says "shipped" so I click on the shipment check status or to manually change it to "delivered" but then the status changes to delivered when i click the shipment) The biggest complaint is that even when these issues are brought up, the developers are not able to get back to me quickly as to whether this is achievable or not. You can tailor most things to suit your needs. **What do you dislike about Zoho Inventory?** Inconsistency in customization. I'm not sure why but some features are available for only certain items. For example, I can add the same CC contacts to pre-fill all my order confirmations, but these fields are inexplicably omitted in the Delivery Confirmation template. Why are they are different? The same goes for the variables available to each template. Why can I reference the customer's PO number on the sales order email template, but not on the delivery confirmation? Why restrict anything between the templates? Let your users decide which variables/fields they want to use in each section, why artificially restrict them? **What problems is Zoho Inventory solving and how is that benefiting you?** It's the only inventory management system I have ever used. I haven't tried not using an inventory management at all but I imagine this is better than that. ### 30. And also with multiple processes flows we can see where our order is processing. There is no option of tags or segregation of products for department-wise. We have to search the entire list for a product, at the end if we couldn't the product we have to raise a request to add the item from the backend again. **Recommendations to others considering Zoho Inventory:** I recommend it because of the quality of customer support and the user interface of the application. Easy on the eyes and modern feel. Has functions all inventory management should have but most lack (like extensive serial number tracking as an example). Integrations seem mostly solid. **What do you dislike about Zoho Inventory?** Support isn't always helpful- I seem to have trouble getting them to understand problems and it seems like common bugs or important bugs have been sitting for years. They frequently close out my bug reports and feature requests, usually without reason, so I have to try opening them again. Every time support says they'll get back to me by the end of the day in an email, or the next day, it takes weeks to hear back, no exaggeration. **What problems is Zoho Inventory solving and how is that benefiting you?** Serial number tracking is much better in Zoho than our previous inventory management program. Once an order is created within Zoho Inventory, the next step is to pack, but how can you pick and process item/s if you have not gone to a location to pick the items? #3) Move from warehouses, but not locations within your own warehouse. My biggest issue is there is no allocation for your where your products can be stored within your warehouse so you can put away your inventory, pick your inventory or check and count your inventory within the Zoho Inventory system. We currently buy inventory from a few wholesale sites and there is no easy way to mark our orders as paid or integrate directly. We have to "force" pay it. The per month pricing is also pretty expensive compared to other platforms out there. If you are really interested in their USP of customization, it is better to reach out to them as an organization and get the product implemented with all the customizations your organization's Supply Chain Model needs. Coming from a local quickbooks inventory account which had none of these features made me appreciate it all the more. **What do you dislike about Zoho Inventory?** I suppose the worst part is that should our internet cut out we wouldn't be able to work. This is more of a theoretical downside as it has yet to happen in real life. The other problem is that you can't use an existing batch ID number when adding stock via inventory adjustment - it has to be a new number. We've gotten around that by appending to the existing number but it's not ideal. **What problems is Zoho Inventory solving and how is that benefiting you?** Zoho allowed us to easily track batches for all inputs and outputs in our warehouse. We've become much more efficient since merging Zoho Books with Zoho Inventory instead of having different software for each. ### 47.
