One can GST compliant generate invoices from the Zoho books and journal entries are automatically made when customers make a payment to an invoice. The bank statements are automatically synced with Zoho books which makes it easier to manage the books.

At times the User interface seems cluttered and less user-friendly. It becomes difficult for a new user to navigate the menus and understand the features. However, with time one can become habituated to the interface. Sometimes the "Matching Transaction" feature seems buggy.

**What problems is Zoho Books solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Zoho books make accounting and bookkeeping easy for small businesses. The pricing itself is more affordable than other such services. Making GST-compliant invoices and capturing payments in a single software has reduced the overall time to manage the books and therefore has increased performance.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jon T. | Judge Advocate, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 05, 2022

**What do you like best about Zoho Books?**

Zoho offers an affordable solution for small businesses that operate by running financial reports, while tracking their most important numbers. Zoho Books specifically allows the user to measure and track growth from quarter to quarter.

**What do you dislike about Zoho Books?**

Customer service can be a challenge when getting correct advice. An extremely avid bookkeeper must ensure the information provided is correct and accurate. It seems that some user interface with Zoho focuses on speed, rather than accuracy.

**Recommendations to others considering Zoho Books:**

There are many alternatives when it comes to selecting a bookkeeping software. There will never be a perfect solution, so find what works for your organization. Some of the "less sleek" options may be more user-friendly and may come with additional savings. Make the software work for you, don't work for the software. I would recommend giving it a try and implementing it for long enough to determine if it is worth your time and investment.

**What problems is Zoho Books solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Zoho Books is solving the important problem of tracking numbers for revenue streams and tax compliance. The major issue was in providing comprehensive, business financial growth charts and diagrams on a regular basis.

It gives detailed analysis of financial position and helps prepare better financial statements with easy understanding.

**What do you dislike about Zoho Books?**

It takes a lot when you fetch data from various sources and sometimes it does not able to handle data properly. If they add exact formats in the zoho and tie up with their partners it could have been better.

**What problems is Zoho Books solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Zoho is managing my financial needs very easily by recognizing transactions properly and making collection and payment smooth and also managing employees salaries and wages on time. The customized reporting in Zoho Books is a bit faulty and is not very flexible to use/ view. It does not allow and support complex management reports

The main solution that I liked, helps me manage my receivables. I can send the payment reminders to customers directly from the application that helps me organize my receivables

  ### 17. Zoho Boooks - An ideal cloud based accounting application for SME

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Package/Freight Delivery | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 17, 2022

**What do you like best about Zoho Books?**

Zoho Books is a total cloud-based accounting application with all the necessary features like contact management, invoicing, billing, manual journal entries, capabilities to generate financial statements, tax features, etc at a very low cost. It has great integration with other applications and all in all gives tough competition to tally and other accounting applications at this price range

**What do you dislike about Zoho Books?**

One thing that I don't like about Zoho Books is it doesn't have a desktop version. Since Zoho Books is marketed for small shops/organizations, they don't always have an internet connection. During such times you have to manually record everything then put them back in Zoho Books, it can get tedious sometimes. The second, thing is it doesn't have the scale of tally in terms of customizations allowed which can become a bottle neck as you grow

**What problems is Zoho Books solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Accounting is the corner stone when you are trying to run a business. You cannot run a business without knowing what your financial health is, what your expenses are, your profit is and if your taxes are handled or not. Zoho Books helps you with all these. Zoho Books is providing an accounting application which is the best of both apps like Intuit, Xero and tally. It helps you manage your entire accounts online over the cloud. You do not have to keep heaps of manuals record or put entries manually in 15 different places. You just need to create one bill or an invoice and the journal entries is all taken care of. Reports and dashboards are automatically created which can be a huge life saver. The Indian version even allows you to file your taxes through the same app. So, yeah Zoho Books helps you on a daily basis when you are running a company and that too at a very less price

  ### 18. I have done 2 Zoho books implementation and it very much user friendly

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Karthik R. | Executive Assurance, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 26, 2022

**What do you like best about Zoho Books?**

Unlike Tally it is cloud based and helps

**What do you dislike about Zoho Books?**

Monthly balance of ledgers will not appear.

Reports in excell format has lot of irrelevant data.

**Recommendations to others considering Zoho Books:**

-Best for organizations who have multiple branches . Because Consolidtation and branch reposts can be easily obtained in ZOHO.
-Cloud Based and hence anywhere access is possible.

**What problems is Zoho Books solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Earlier we were using tally but many a times sales team and accounting team needed monthly reconciliation

But in Zoho everything is integrated.

  ### 19. Estimates, Invoices

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** John B. | Sales Exec, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 28, 2022

**What do you like best about Zoho Books?**

I use Books for creating/tracking estimates and invoices. I would like to see a few more tools available for editing. The whole process from creation to approval to sending to a customer is pretty good. Tracking edits doesn't seem to exist - I simply add a number to my comments to track them.

**What do you dislike about Zoho Books?**

As above, there aren't many editing tools or revision tracking.

**What problems is Zoho Books solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Central management of estimates and invoices.

  ### 20. The application and the website is very user friendly.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Human Resources | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

The use of various new technologies such as cloud and Saas to provide the best business support, manage, connect, and automate business processes across the organization.

**What do you dislike about Zoho Books?**

I don't dislike anything as such because it is very cost-effective and user-friendly, and customer support is also very well equipped. The use of newer technologies is also very impressive.

**What problems is Zoho Books solving and how is that benefiting you?**

This Application has centralized administrative control from one single console to manage, connect, and automate business processes across the organization. which is well supported across android and ios devices.

  ### 23. The perfect accounting solution for your business.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Austin M. | Software Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 23, 2021

**What do you like best about Zoho Books?**

Zoho Books has multiple payment gateways and a Zapier integration that connects the software to over 1,000 applications.
Billing features that make it easy to create and send invoices to others.
Expense tracking allowing manual uploads, live bank feeds, and receipt capture.

**What do you dislike about Zoho Books?**

There is nothing better than Zoho Books.

**Recommendations to others considering Zoho Books:**

Zoho Books is ideal for:
Businesses that want to manage their finances on the go with robust mobile apps.
Companies that want accounting software that doesn't cost a fortune.
Businesses that need intuitive software that is easy to set up and use.

**What problems is Zoho Books solving and how is that benefiting you?**

If it is about benefits, I will mention its function "Payroll"
Fortunately, Zoho Books offers SurePayroll integration to meet our company's payroll needs.

  ### 24. Zoho books works most of the time

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Cody O. | Finance Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 17, 2021

**What do you like best about Zoho Books?**

There are several features that are helpful and make sending invoices and receiving payments easy and quick. They are updating their systems and making changes constantly. It also implements with many different tools. There are many other tools that Zoho offers that makes this work as a great option.

We have had few problems with the software and it hasn't gone down or been unavailable when we need it.

**What do you dislike about Zoho Books?**

We were hoping Zoho would integrate better with their other systems, like Zoho CRM, however the setup is very complicated and limited. Their support is also somewhat limited and not available on evenings or weekends. We also still use Quickbooks because it works better and does more because of the limitations of Zoho Books.

There have some times when the system did things that didn't make sense or work as expected a few times. Their support was able to check on it or get it fixed but it did slow us down at the time.

**Recommendations to others considering Zoho Books:**

They are attempting to compete with Quickbooks but they lack many of the features that Quickbooks has. It works fine for some basic things but as a business grows it wouldn't keep up.

**What problems is Zoho Books solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We switched from another invoicing system to Zoho books, it's been able to do what we need so far. They still used the same payment tools that we used before so it wasn't a problem to change systems. We could continue using our Authorize.net merchant account.

  ### 25. Like many things Zoho, it checks all the boxes

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 27, 2021

**What do you like best about Zoho Books?**

Besides having a relatively straightforward UX interface, I like the fact that our invoices are so easily tracked. They can be sorted by date, invoice number, status, or searched by customer or dollar amount. More savvy users will discover it can be integrated with a variety of services such as Paypal, Payflow Pro and Square among others.

**What do you dislike about Zoho Books?**

Business expense reporting can be a little cumbersome. If you have more than one business entity, it's very easy to be in the wrong company "view" and end up logging your work to the wrong entity. Finally, I can never remember whether I need to submit business expenses in Books or Zoho Expense. Combine that with the fact that there is (was?) a Zoho Invoice app at some point. It's hard to keep them all straight. Finally, we use a different software for project management (Atlassian JIRA) and I do wish it were more integratable with it, for things like estimates and timecards.

**What problems is Zoho Books solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's not really a "problem," but Zoho books is our one stop shop bookkeeping software, so it straightens out all of our accounts receivable and payable, invoices and estimates. Plus, since we use a variety of the other Zoho apps such as CRM, it's a seamless integration to do things like create customers or link activities such as estimates and invoices to them, in CRM. Plus its handy reporting tools allow us to track month to month where we are goal wise, YTD.

  ### 26. Fast, affordable, simple to use

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** John Y. | President, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 17, 2021

**What do you like best about Zoho Books?**

As a federal government contractor, I can easily track hours and bill my customers

**What do you dislike about Zoho Books?**

I wish there were a way for customers to pay their invoices without a fee.

**Recommendations to others considering Zoho Books:**

If you are a single-member federal contractor, it's great. If you have a few 1099 employees, it works well too. I wish Zoho would offer payroll integration, but it's only available in CA and TX. I have to QB and split my tasks between the two programs.

**What problems is Zoho Books solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Easy time tracking. Easy conversion from timesheet to invoice.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Hannah W. | Marketing Consultant, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

This is all in one tool that let me extract, create and pay at one platform and that is Zoho Book. Also I can easily track any process and its time tracking service updates me to manage our rates with project execution time. It is playing a very significant role in our organization and we are enjoying its services to full extent. We did not face any difficulty in its operation and installation. It is easily configurable as well.

**What do you dislike about Zoho Books?**

There is not even a single thing that I dislike about it. I appreciate its supportive customer service. We like its processing which provides automated tasks and its mobile application is also very impressive, which support our android and iOS features.

**Recommendations to others considering Zoho Books:**

This is the most trust worthy tool. I found it to be the most refined and modified form of accounting software. It has very interesting features. It will behave as catalyst in speeding up all of your processes. This product will let you have complete command on all your processes.

**What problems is Zoho Books solving and how is that benefiting you?**

After using Zoho Books, I do not face any difficulty in generating the invoices because previously I was maintaining the data manually and for generating this receipts I have to enter them, this process was time consuming. But now I have everything well organized. This tool has provided me clear idea about the routes of various processes and also it provides me clear reports based on real time.

  ### 29. Efficient, effective and powerful tool for financial reporting

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Maria C. | Senior Software Development Engineering lead, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 28, 2020

**What do you like best about Zoho Books?**

Zoho Books is considered to be the best ever tool for financial reporting. It is known to be the excellent tracker for tracking all our finance and accounts. It makes collaboration with accountants smoother by recording, monitoring and reconciling our bank accounts as well as transactions. Its efficient team is continuously adding new advanced and latest features to keep the interest of people.

**What do you dislike about Zoho Books?**

The least thing is that it lacks payroll functionality. Moreover this software seems to be difficult for the beginners. ### 31. Zoho Books (India Edition)

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nishkarsh K. | Dreamer, Internet, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 04, 2019

**What do you like best about Zoho Books?**

Books is cloud based. has a decent website with (limited functioning) mobile app. ability to connect your bank account directly to automatically fetch transactions is amazing. GST returns can be pushed directly to the GSTN servers which is super. browser notifications also help. also, Zoho has partnered with GSTN to offer absolutely free use of full accounting services of Zoho Books for GST registered companies with turnover less than INR 1.5 crores per annum. Books also has full support for forex accounting in case you are in business of exporting and would like to invoice in foreign currencies.

**What do you dislike about Zoho Books?**

It feel much slow at times. simpler things like accounting for TDS on sales and purchase invoices is a bit complex than would like it to be. no feature for TDS return filing - it'd be great to have actually. Lacking ability to add journal entries for a specific customer directly is not available - there is a workaround, but it is not desirable. Support can be slow at times - also it is not 24x7, so you'll have to work your sched around them and not the other way round!

**Recommendations to others considering Zoho Books:**

check with zoho support that your basic use case would be perfectly handled by Books - before making the jump. mostly, Books would suffice use cases of SMEs and individual accounting and even inventory. But based on your use case, it is always better to ask in advance.

**What problems is Zoho Books solving and how is that benefiting you?**

easier to keep my accounting up to date. bank recon and GST filings are a breeze. reviewing live reports is a useful function too.

  ### 32. Control the accounting of your business as if you were in the big leagues of finance.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed Date:** April 09, 2019

**What do you like best about Zoho Books?**

Zoho books are a great tool for our company, it helps us to perform all kinds of accounting operations in this system in a simple and uncomplicated way, here we go to what we are going, the tool will offer us accounting solutions on the web, through this application, and really does it well, the truth is I'm not an expert in accounting, I'm more specialized in the marketing part, but when I started using this tool, I found something easy, after reading a bit on the web, and see some videos, I could master much of the features of this tool, with which I can help in many of the monitoring of the finances of our small company, when necessary.

**What do you dislike about Zoho Books?**

I would say that it can be improved, some tools are missing that can help to have a more complete accounting tool, lack integration with other accounting applications, the invoices are especially complicated, at the beginning I did not know how to edit or revise the invoices, I did not have the minimum idea, how doing it, I had to look for some information to be able to use this feature, I would like Zoho books, to be a more complete tool, and not have to use more paper invoices, or physical files, it would be very good, to be able to do everything in this application, and not having to depend on other additional external applications.

**Recommendations to others considering Zoho Books:**

It is a good tool, it is not very expensive, and it is easy to administer.

**What problems is Zoho Books solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is a tool that allows to perform different accounting tasks in the cloud, without the need to install additional software, which cost a lot of money, in this tool we can carry out a large part of the financial operations of our company, without investing so much money, in applications of thousands of dollars, since really the great part of the work that we need to realize, we can do them in Zoho books.

It's easy to use. I like the dashboard interface also. Their chat is convenient too.

**What do you dislike about Zoho Books?**

A few things I would change about Zoho is the navigation. A few times I tried locating some items such as templates. Also tried changing the signature and I couldn't figure it out.

Does everything Quickbooks Online does at 1/2 the cost

**What do you dislike about Zoho Books?**

Like many Zoho products, the interface and feature set is a little wonky and unintuitive at times

**What problems is Zoho Books solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Looking for a basic accounting package. It accomplishes what we need it to do, we have a fairly small business but needed project-based tracking and this was the only product at a SMB pricepoint that delivered
