It's easy to apply for the jobs I find. I can add filters to adjust where I want to apply, how much to make annually, and if I want to be on-site or remote. I find the performance to be fairly smooth. It's not perfect, but it does match my resume to a fair degree. Thankfully, it's free to use, so I don't feel it's necessary to pay for a subscription. I haven't needed to use any support, as I have not needed to. There is no AI to use on ZipRecruiter. **What do you dislike about ZipRecruiter?** No AI to adjust your resume for the jobs you find. **What problems is ZipRecruiter solving and how is that benefiting you?** I'm not aware of any issues. ### 2. My review for ZipRecruiter **Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars **Reviewed by:** Satish v. | US IT Recruiter, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.) **Reviewed Date:** August 26, 2025 **What do you like best about ZipRecruiter?** Ziprecruiter has a wide range of job search with a single job post it automatically displays in 100+ job boards which brings the suitable candidates displayed at the top which saves me time. ziprecruiter has a large database with a lot of resumes in the portal, i also get faster responses from the candidates i reach less i do less manual sorucing in the ziprecruiter, with the help of filter i do not get any irrevelant profiles, it is easy to adopt for new users with its simple dashboard. it is also easy to access through mobile which is helpful. **What do you dislike about ZipRecruiter?** sometimes AI provide candidates who are not suitable for the job description they will be completly from a different domain, single candidates apply in different job boards leading to duplicate profiles, manual screening is required as it doesn't always provide the right match, for job roles like java, python, servicenow, salesforece we get too many profiles which is hard to source, not the best one for niche roles. **What problems is ZipRecruiter solving and how is that benefiting you?** It reduces the time to hire as the AI matches the qualified candidates faster, with a job post we are able to reach to a large pool of candidates, it is helpful in hiring the urgent openings from the client, it filters top qualified candidates in ranking basis which helps me to get good candidates, we are able to manage all in single platform without paying seperately for different job boards. ### 5. We were able to select the monthly subscription plan that best fits our current recruiting needs. We also really appreciate that they allow the option to add on ala carte options on top of your subscription if you have a job that you need to get filled fast, allowing you to add on an extra push to the job boards for that specific position. One of the best options is the ability to search resumes and invite potential candidates to apply! These may be great matches that would otherwise possibly not have seen our job posting. **What do you dislike about ZipRecruiter?** We are newer to using ZipRecruiter, but so far we have not found anything that we do not like. I do wish that there were more options as far as enhancing a job posting that maybe weren't as expensive to help those smaller-size businesses that typically have a lower recruiting budget to work with. **What problems is ZipRecruiter solving and how is that benefiting you?** The biggest problem we are solving with ZipRecruiter is our staffing needs! Also, we can rate the profile of the candidates based on our experience with them. They have an inbuilt mail feature from which we can directly connect with the applicant and send them mail for the multiple job openings in a single click. It has many features to search the candidates based on the region, skill, experience, last CTC, etc. The UI is fantastic and appealing. Apart from that, the support team is outstanding and gives a good response to the resolutions. **What do you dislike about ZipRecruiter?** There must be some option in the dashboard to find or separate put those candidates who have been already contacted by any recruiter from the organization. SO that, their name does not occur again and they should not be contacted again. It jump-starts your ability to reach candidates you think might be qualified based on a limited amount of information provided. I also like being able to add prescreening questions and being able to message candidates on the platform. **What do you dislike about ZipRecruiter?** With the newest changes to ZipRecruiter, it is becoming increasingly expensive to place ads for the response rates reveived. There are repetitive sales calls and demands for follow-up calls pushing you to purchase more add ons like boosts and bigger ad packages. Now they are changing their service again and have begun charging for the invite to apply. They are making their service even more expensive for people in order actually to attract candidates. To me, they are quickly moving to a point where the value in their basic general ads and resume database is not worth the expense. Also, you get tons of candidates nowhere near qualified for the ad you placed in both applicants and suggested applicants to invite to apply. So, in summary, you now need to purchase a package (averaging over $100-$125/per job slot per month) then pay for invites to apply, job boosts ($120-$220 per job and are limited to 100 or 200 extra candidates), and additional resume database if needed over the basic amount that comes with your package. **What problems is ZipRecruiter solving and how is that benefiting you?** I use ZipRecruiter because it does reach a broader audience than other job boards, but because of the negatives listed, I am looking for alternatives. ### 28. I also like the rating system of thumbs up thumbs down plus neutral to quickly sort through those who are qualified and those who deserve a second look **What do you dislike about ZipRecruiter?** I don't like that ZR immediately notifies a candidate if you gave them a thumbs down. If they get a no shortly after applying it's discouraging to them and gives a bad impression of the company. I also have noticed that ZR will send out a resume of someone with key words even if they didn't actively apply. The systems algorithm that uses that job positions key word too one dimensionally.
