## Zenmap Reviews
  ### 1. A quick review of Zenmap

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** mohit m. | Penetration Tester, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 10, 2022

**What do you like best about Zenmap?**

Zenmap is the best tool for penetration testers, ethical hackers, and cyber security analysts It's used for showing service on web servers, open ports, and versions on web servers.it is easy to use and ease of implimentation.

**What do you dislike about Zenmap?**

yes, that is a very limited command to use . and in Kali Linux, I'm using a lot of commands. so i think that is some issue of zenmap. also, zenmap's UI is not good but I don't think integration is possible or not with zenmap.

**What problems is Zenmap solving and how is that benefiting you?**

according to me yes zenmap is problem solving tool because according to my experience, i know some commands so i don't need to start Kali and use Nmap it time taking so I use zenmap behalf of this

  ### 2. Using this tool has made it easy to scan a network and gain information like ports and services.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Banking | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 07, 2024

**What do you like best about Zenmap?**

It is easy to use and convinient, and gives many information by using different plugins.

**What do you dislike about Zenmap?**

The result is not saved anywhere, if it automatically saves the result somewhere it would be easy. As i have mistakently ended many running scans.

**What problems is Zenmap solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I work in the cybersecurity industry and it is very useful in conducting scans of a network and in figuring out open ports and services currently running along with their displayed versions.

  ### 3. Multi-functional IP Scanner

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Huseyin D. | System Specialist, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 22, 2021

**What do you like best about Zenmap?**

First of all, it's completely free because it is tough to find a free IP scanner for the m1 chip MacBook pro. That's why I love it. Also, it has many features, and results are coming clear and with different styles.

**What do you dislike about Zenmap?**

Unfortunately, user interface is blurred and not optimized for the M1 MacBook Pro. Sometimes program getting, too.

**Recommendations to others considering Zenmap:**

If you need a simple IP scanner, you can use it.

**What problems is Zenmap solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I'm using it as an IP scanner and see the results to define devices which connected to the network.

  ### 4. Zenma, A GUI for Nmap

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Aby T. | System Admin, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 06, 2019

**What do you like best about Zenmap?**

Zenmap is basically Nmap with a user interface, and that's what I really like about zenmap, because zenmap let us scan networks without having to enter most of commands, because zenmap will give us lists of commands that we can select from, with zenmap, we can see the network structure and connected computers in a network topology, which I found really helpful.

**What do you dislike about Zenmap?**

Its a GUI version of Nmap but, in Zenmap we still have to enter commands to do most of the scans, There is no option to change the font style of the output, or color of the fonts, we wont even get any option to change into dark mode.

**Recommendations to others considering Zenmap:**

Zenmap is a really good tool for scanning networks, If you are familiar with Nmap then switching to Zenmap will be a really good experience for you, because we will be able to see the results in more convenient way.

**What problems is Zenmap solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Scanning networks became more easier, and most importantly we can see the result in topology style, which I found really helpful , while I scan networks, its make me easy to understand the network structure.

  ### 5. Easy to Use Network Scanner.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Akhil K. | Junior System Administrator, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 03, 2019

**What do you like best about Zenmap?**

Zenmap is the GUI version of Nmap and I really like that, I can do lots of different scans on my network using Zenmap. It will show the open ports and services running on my network. I like that it shows the open ports in green colour in the result after scanning and that is very easy to spot and identify. After scanning I can see my hosts in Topology view which very easy to understand.

**What do you dislike about Zenmap?**

Sometimes scanning takes more time than usual even when we use the same commands. They should have added more scanning profile option in the drop down menu.

**Recommendations to others considering Zenmap:**

This is the best and simple network scanner out there. Zenmap can use all the Nmap commands and we can sort all the results at the end. So This is a good Network scanner for all Network professionals.

**What problems is Zenmap solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Using Zenmap we were able to scan our whole network easily. And The topology view really helped to explain the network structure to someone else.

  ### 6. How to stop intruders and network hogs with a standalone tool

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Luca M. | Jr Sysadmin, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 30, 2019

**What do you like best about Zenmap?**

nmap (The zenmap engine) is very powerful even from CLI but when combined with zenmap GUI it becomes more effective to quickly identify intruders with the real time topology view and other useful features such as stealth mode scan and quick scan plus traceroute to search for network hogs

**What do you dislike about Zenmap?**

Some scan profiles are not documented and optimized so, they may cause slowness or decrease stability of your entire network or the hosts that you are scanning

**What problems is Zenmap solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Search for network intruders on our Wifi LAN and retrieve informations about topology and CCC (currently connected clients) to launch a latency scan and retrieve informations of their network experience and satisfaction ratio

  ### 7. Powerful tool to stop intruder in your network

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Carlo T. | System specialist, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

Quick scan and customizable scanning profiles are the fastest way to search for intruder and stop it while other similar tools are still scanning

**What do you dislike about Zenmap?**

Some crash during extended TCP scan cause Zenmap restart losing all previous scan data (without session restoring)

**What problems is Zenmap solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Stop network intruder and search for open ports inside my enterprise network

  ### 8. Best Tool For Port Scanning

Nmap aka ZenMap is an open-source network utility that can be used to discover different networks and for auditing networks for security purposes.

**What do you dislike about Zenmap?**

observed some false positive results about the ports information

**What problems is Zenmap solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am able to explore the networks, but our team makes use of zenmap for mostly finding the port status of the servers and other network devices during audits.
