How it works - Employees clock in, take breaks and clock out with their name and personal PIN at a shared time clock in the business: a tablet or smartphone running the ZEITTEL app, or the web time clock in the browser (e.g. on a PC). No special hardware, no private phone required. - Automatic clock-in/out via geofencing: with the ZEITTEL app on their own phone, employees are clocked in or out automatically when they enter or leave the business. Opt-in, enabled per employee; location only at clock-in/out, never a movement profile. - Employee scheduling: plan shifts for the team. - The owner sees working hours, breaks, vacation, sick leave and each employee's overtime account in one place. Target vs. actual hours per employee; public holidays of the German state included. - Forgotten clock-outs stand out in the overview. Corrections require a reason; every change is logged in an audit log. - Vacation requests, remaining leave and time off in lieu. - Monthly and annual reports as PDF and CSV for payroll and tax advisors. - Multiple locations, each with its own time clock, all hours in one overview. - Optional employee access: own hours, time account and remaining leave in the app or browser. Privacy Location tracking? Only if you want it. Movement profile? Never. Default is clocking in by PIN at the time clock, without any location. Data hosted on servers in Germany (Hetzner, Nuremberg).
