**What do you like best about Zeffy?**

I love using Zeffy for fundraising as it allows us to easily and effectively collect peer-to-peer funds. The lack of processing fees is fantastic because it maximizes the amount of money we get from each transaction. The ability to send correspondence through the platform for free is absolutely amazing and customizing the platform for our use at no cost is super nice. I also appreciate the flexibility to utilize different types of fundraising, like auctions and ticket sales. Setting up Zeffy was super easy, and we were up and running in a matter of minutes. Overall, the features that really stand out are the minimal processing fees and the customization options.

As a small nonprofit team, we needed a platform that could do a lot without a steep learning curve — and Zeffy delivers. We've been able to raise funds and run campaigns with real ease. The platform strikes the perfect balance: simple enough to get started quickly, but flexible enough to customize for our specific needs without feeling limited. Integrating with our Hubspot CRM by making exports easy is a huge plus, and our external traffic finds the website visually appealing and easy to use. It's speedy and we've never had trouble with accessibility.

The user experience is genuinely intuitive, which matters when you're wearing multiple hats and can't afford to spend hours troubleshooting. Zeffy has taken the friction out of fundraising so we can focus on our mission instead of the mechanics.

**What do you dislike about Zeffy?**

I don't really have any additional improvements at this point, but I think I recall not being able to add a 'Buy Now' option for our auction campaign, which would have been really cool!

**What do you like best about Zeffy?**

I appreciate that Zeffy is easy to use, making it simple to track donations, and it saves time and money. I also really like that we can integrate it with our social media by providing the link or a QR code for people to scan. The setup was super quick—it took just a few minutes, and we were able to start using it immediately.

**What do you dislike about Zeffy?**

So far, we haven’t run into any issues, and we’ve been very happy with the results we’re seeing. Our church is really pleased with it too. We also appreciate being able to set up campaigns for different areas of our ministry and designate the funds to each specific area.

**What problems is Zeffy solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Zeffy makes it easy to track donations and saves time and money. It integrates with social media using links or QR codes.

**What do you like best about Zeffy?**

The issue is how difficult it is to see the donation for Zeffy and that it starts at 17 percent which makes people think that's just a standard fee. Other than that they continue to be 100% free and have a nice interface that is user friendly. There are many options for ticketing and services and even volunteers.  They now have a nicer CRM and Have a Facebook group now for Zeffy users that can ask questions about how to do specific functions in the platform so you are not relying just on customer service.. they have a. Very nice CRM I have integrated Zeffy with Zapier but it wasn't easy or clear cut. The performance has been good so far and it has not failed to go through the payment process or volunteer sign up ever. IT is trying to incorporat AI, but I stay away from that kind of stuff on Zeffy, so I don't really use the AI/ intelligence feature it has.

**What do you dislike about Zeffy?**

So. The issue is that you can't just uncheck the donation for Zeffy and you have to go to a multiple choice box. Then hit custom, then manually type the number 0 (zero). But to the normal eye it looks like the price went from $25 to $30.  (Their standard is 17%. I still think for a free donation platform it's good, but I've had to put extra work to make videos and write and tell people how to avoid the Zeffy contribution. Also I have no way of knowing unless I ask, if they paid it or saw my video or not. If they made it easier to understand that the Contribution is optional and start at a less percentage rate, that wouldn't make it look like your trying to hid the fee.

We have a educational element of service and charge for certification. They make it easy to embed on your website and purchase while staying on page.

On the tip: thank you for this feedback. The suggested tip depends on the donation amount: 17% for smaller gifts, dropping to 7% for larger ones, and donors can edit it to any amount, including zero, before confirming. On average, what donors choose to tip ends up lower than the fixed fees most platforms charge nonprofits, which means more of every dollar goes to your mission. Beyond the dedicated section we include, a note in your form description in your own words can add more context for your specific audience.

**What do you like best about Zeffy?**

I have found Zeffy easy to use for the event signups at my jazz studio. The interface is well-designed and leads you through the steps needed to post an event with tickets. I often don’t charge for tickets, so Zeffy allows me to manage a free event. I use Zeffy monthly as well as for a summer workshop where the signup is a bit more complex. I have had a couple of issues that were resolved quickly through a chat session, and the documentation has helped me quickly learn and use the program without outside assistance. I am also impressed with the frequent and well-designed updates to the interface and functionality of the service.

**What do you dislike about Zeffy?**

By design, Zeffy structures the available options to help users create sign-in forms. At times, though, that structure can limit my choices. I’ve submitted a request through their support area asking for a bit more flexibility on one of the screens.

**What problems is Zeffy solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Since I run a very small, one-person jazz piano studio, I was looking for an inexpensive way to manage event sign-ups. Zeffy has met that need, and it’s also helped me collect fees and solicit donations. I really love it.

I use Zeffy to organize fundraising campaigns and connect with donors. I really like that the campaigns are clear and straightforward. The donations go straight to our bank account, which means I don't have to deal with checks or cash. All the donor emails are in one place, and I can send out emails, newsletters, and reminders instantly. I appreciate how easy the tool is to use and that there are no fees involved. The payment organization and donor information pages are valuable to me because I can track what a donor has given, their exact donation dates, and their contact information. The initial setup was really simple too; I just needed to have the bank account, EIN, and nonprofit info ready.

I've seen some other donation sites that organize the donor information as a chart and have a few more features - beginning date of first donation.

I like that it is free to use and allow non profits to keep more of the money they fundraise. I like that we can use it for many different types of fundraisers. It is easy to add different users, so it makes spreading the work out between volunteers and sub groups. I love that it is Canadian.

**What do you dislike about Zeffy?**

I would like the ability to use it to print off packing/order lists for clients. I would also like the ability to deposit into different accounts  for different fundraisers.

**What problems is Zeffy solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It has made selling 50/50 tickets so much easier to track. We have been able to sell tickets to a fundraising movie event. We have sold orders for a popcorn fundraising. I has made it so that I don't have to worry about paying invoices after an event. We get to keep the money earned. The software is user friendly and easy to play around with.

I appreciate Zeffy because it allows us to keep 100% of the funds we raise. As someone who thinks constantly about efficiency and sustainability, I value platforms that don’t chip away at hard-earned donations. Every dollar matters — especially when you’re building scalable, impactful, and operationally excellent nonprofit capacity building.

I like that Zeffy removes friction. I don’t have to overthink transaction fees or hidden costs, which allows me to stay focused on strategy and growth rather than administrative drain.

I appreciate that the model invites donors to voluntarily cover processing fees. It feels aligned with transparency and shared ownership — people understand what it costs to move money, and they step in willingly.

I like that it’s simple but still functional. I can spin up a clean, professional donation page quickly without needing a developer or a long onboarding process. For a lean team, that matters.

There honestly aren’t many downsides to Zeffy — especially given that it allows nonprofits to keep 100% of their donations — but there are a few limitations to consider. I’ve found that while it’s incredibly cost-effective and easy to use, it doesn’t offer the same depth of integrations, advanced reporting, or built-in marketing automation that some larger, paid platforms provide. For more complex fundraising strategies or enterprise-level needs, I sometimes need to supplement it with other tools — but for straightforward, mission-focused fundraising, it’s hard to beat the value.

**What do you like best about Zeffy?**

The software is easy to use, and it’s simple to create campaigns. For our Kiwanis Literacy Club Foundation and Kiwanis Clubs, not having to pay fees helps our foundation save money and put more books into kids’ hands. We can create a quick campaign on the fly to accept donations for sponsoring books. We don’t sell books; instead, we find sponsors for them, and those sponsors get to hand the books out. So far, we’ve done over 500,000 books. We’ve tried Square, Zelle, Venmo, and PayPal, but Zeffy has been the best for us, and it’s the only one we use now.

**What do you dislike about Zeffy?**

Only that I did not find it sooner!!!  But really there is nothing they keep the interface the same and its easy.

**What problems is Zeffy solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Saving lots of money.  We used to pass on the credit card cost and now we do not have to.  We have had a customers cancel when they had to pay the fees.

**What do you like best about Zeffy?**

Zeffy makes it easy to create the forms needed for donors to fill out and donate with a debit or credit card.  Zeffy also has other forms one can create for auctions, stores, lotteries, and events.  I have never used a platform like Zeffy and found it easy to learn.  I like that it is easy to create and embed QR codes and form links into my organization's website and onto different flyers.  The QR codes and links can be shared and will still work.  
Zeffy automatically sends donations to your bank account and will send receipts to the donors for their taxes.  At the end of the year, Zeffy will send donors a full list of their donations if they donated to different organizations through Zeffy.  Makes it easier for taxes.  
We have not been charged any fees to use Zeffy by Zeffy.  Zeffy does ask each donor for a small donation to Zeffy to keep them from having to apply fees.  This has been working for them.
Zeffy keeps all the information about your donors for you and it is there any time you need it.  You can send thank you emails directly to your donors through Zeffy too.

**What do you dislike about Zeffy?**

There are not many downsides to Zeffy from my perspective.  We needed something that would meet our needs and not cost us a lot of money because we are a non-profit and just starting out.  Zeffy is a basic donation platform that is secure and easy to use for both the users and donors.  There are not a lot of frills, bells and whistles that someone might be looking for.  You can only make the donation forms look so good with the features allowed.  And that is good for us.  Our story is on the form.  The needed information from the donors is on the form.  There are not a lot of downsides.

**What problems is Zeffy solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We needed a way to take online and card donations.  Zeffy was the best one for us because of the $0 fees.  We are a new non profit organization.

Zeffy doesn’t offer an integration with Canva, which really limits how I can design email templates.

It also takes extra steps to upload data from Zeffy into a CRM like Salesforce Nonprofit Cloud. On top of that, the tools that are easiest to use tend to be expensive. That said, I understand these may not be Zeffy’s top priorities.

I also wish to see more languages being supported, such as Chinese.

Creating events using their step-by-step process is very easy.  We can tailor it to not only include our brand, but elements of the event itself.  This is our first year using Zeffy.  They made it easy to track payments and donations made for our two events.  I am not well-versed in current technology, so the ease in which I was able to set up forms, etc. was very helpful and intuitive.  I had just a few questions and was able to use their chat option.  Customer support was very responsive.  I have recommended Zeffy to several nonprofits in our area!

**What do you dislike about Zeffy?**

If one can even call it a dislike...it is more of a concern.  As a nonprofit and chief operations officer, I need to know the bottom line, financially.  When setting up our Zeffy account, I wondered if I needed to see or acknowledge when our supporters pay the extra few dollars to Zeffy.  We had been using 3 other payment methods for our events and the fees we had to pay took money away from the purpose of our non-profit, which is to help veterans.  I was told by Zeffy that I would not be able to see those, but if our supporters didn't pay, then we would not be able to participate in Zeffy.  So I added verbiage to our emails to our supporters which states that when they pay the extra percentage, they help keep it free for us.  I still don't know how much our supporters are giving...I just hope it's enough for us to remain Zeffy customers.

Zeffy helps me know the bottom line for each event financially.  This reduces the amount of time I spend on accounting tasks and gives us a clear picture of funds accrued.  I can easily track payments back to participants for accounting and acknowledgement purposes. We can easily upload our files with our logos, keeping our brand consistent and professional and cute!

Having a free platform like Zeffy is amazing for our micro non-profit because every dollar saved advances our mission. I love that Zeffy generates tax receipts, integrates into our website, and has a mobile app for taking payments on our cell phones. It's a relatively user-friendly donation platform compared to others, integrating a database, payment processor, and fundraising campaign tool all in one. Zeffy allows us to track and import donors, see how much they donated, pull reports, send donation receipts, send email blasts, create fundraising campaigns, sell tickets, and manage everything in a mobile fashion. The initial setup for Zeffy was extremely easy, much easier than setting up an account for Paypal.

**What do you dislike about Zeffy?**

I dislike that there isn't a way to quickly add a campaign or record a donation without assigning it to a campaign. We receive donations regularly that aren't for a specific event or fundraiser. We should be able to record those to a donor's profile without having to input or make up a campaign to do it. I would love additional email templates and pop-ups on the sides of the templates that explain how to operate the template. There is a learning curve to tailoring a template.

I feel fortunate that I discovered Zeffy for my non-profit organization nearly a year ago. Many platforms utilized to raise money take a portion of the proceeds which is understandable in order for them to make money, but it also affects the organization trying to raise the money they need to provide essential services to the community at no cost. Zeffy does not do this. We've received all of our funds raised through Zeffy. Not a single dime was kept by them which is amazing in itself, but Zeffy has also been seamless to use. The site is very responsive and intuitive to navigate around in. I've never needed assistance finding a certain tool or piece of information. I also, personally, love putting a new campaign together and being able to customize every detail about it that is followed by multiple ways to "share" it with others whether through a link or a QR code. Finally, Zeffy is always sending emails of helpful information regarding their site or even tips to get the most out of their features or your ongoing campaign.

You desperately need to integrate with a credit card reader. 

The biggest issue we are having is selling tickets at the door and telling everyone to scan the QR code and make a purchase. Older people get MAD and want to just scan their card. I believe their are workarounds for this, but we have not been successful at implementing them. We use Square for some events/programs for this reason, and we hate Square.

Zeffy fees default to extremely high %. I know you make your money off of these fees, but you might be better off having a 10% fee available, and removing the ability to assign a 0% fee. Honestly, the inclination we have now- in order to sell more tickets- is to let people know that they can edit the fee -- and once they do that, they see that they can set it to 0, which is bad for you guys.

Easy ticket sales for event without fees. We use Zeffy specifically for large scale events that have paid tickets. The ONLY issue with this is the at-the-door sales which are complicated by not having a card reader.

Zeffy easily provides my Church with a QR code for donations, which we've incorporated into our church slideshow so people can easily donate from the pews, as very few people carry around checks or cash anymore. We even used Zeffy to sell raffle tickets for fundraising which showcases its versatility in creating unique fundraising campaigns. I found the analytics on the backend to be really useful for tracking donors and sending donation receipts with our tax ID information. Setting up Zeffy was easy enough for someone who is only mildly tech-savvy.

Every feature we use has been easy to set up.  I tell every nonprofit I work with about Zeffy, it is great!

My only thing is a feature request, and that would be a way to include donor info in deposits.  This would make it easier to track which donations are in each bulk deposit.

They're continually upgrading features and listening to user feedback to make sure it meets our needs. The fee structure is also incredible for the non-profits I work for, vs other platforms that keep percentages of the donations.

There are some quirks that make customization for some of our needs difficult.  We have found workarounds, but they're not ideal.

Getting the donor contact information helps us share updates on where their gift is making an impact. Setting up Zeffy was pretty easy for our team.

Only the amount shows up on the bank account making it more difficult to match donations when you reconcile the bank account. It would be great if the deposit showed who the donations were from. It just shows the amount deposited.

I use Zeffy for my tiny, virtual nonprofit called YouthARE.org. Zeffy allows me to set up campaigns for group events and prepare thank you letters for people who make offline donations. I needed a way to track offline donations and prepare a thank you letter that I could send in email or postal mail, and Zeffy provided that. I like the ease of creating campaigns for events and projects. I especially like that it is free for nonprofits, and the features are excellent. The instructions and videos are clear, and the support team is very quick to respond and friendly. Zeffy seems to have a sixth sense for suggesting what might work when I don't always know exactly what I want to do, allowing me to come up to speed quickly with new things I try. I also like the meaning of the name, which I think is brilliant. The initial setup was very easy, and I would recommend Zeffy to anyone.

I love that it is such a benefit for non-profits to be able use such a platform to capture other forms of payment that were not easily taken previously.  It is a very easy to use platform that is user friendly.  Helpful to both the non-profit as well as to the donors.  It has various options for how it can be used.

**What do you dislike about Zeffy?**

I do wish there were a few additional features.  We currently can integrate forms but only if ther person using it is making a donation, sometimes  our non profit would be using a form where someone has the choice to sign up via the form and make a donation, but we would like for them to still be able to fill out the form and decline the donation. (an example, we host an event where there donation is to bring the item that will be used in the event and some choose to do a monetary donation as well, but others bring only the item as their donation, we still want the form captured, but there is no monetary donation.)

It solves for us the ability to take multiple forms of payment that we did not have before. I love the customer service team at Zeffy; they are excellent, reply quickly, keep me informed of any troubleshooting, provide excellent training tip videos, and make important changes based on clients' feedback. It's such a relief these days! The initial setup was really easy; the help tools for creating an import file were straightforward and everything went extremely well. Plus, Zeffy has allowed us to step up our membership tracking and communicate more professionally. I also appreciate that it is $0 to use and more than one board member can access the data, making it hugely efficient. I've already promoted Zeffy in a Facebook group and love telling people about it because I think it could benefit others.

**What do you dislike about Zeffy?**

Where I see limitations that could easily be improved is their export files and reporting. Export files are clunky and seem to be individualized by category (contact or payment - why can't that be combined?). There is no unique reporting, and I know the back-end platform is HubSpot, so I believe this feature could be 'turned on' and would allow more functionality of our data. There is no good or custom reporting in Zeffy, and the current ones are clunky and create a lot of manual clean-up in order to be useful. Contact and payment exports seem extremely separate but think they could be combined, especially with the option to 'check mark' certain things.

I use Zeffy to manage our nonprofit's membership details, creating campaigns, and sending newsletters. It saves us money compared to PayPal, improves our communication and tracking efficiency, and looks more professional.

**What do you like best about Zeffy?**

I really love Zeffy for many reasons. What originally drew me to Zeffy was that my organization doesn't pay fees. Once I started using Zeffy, I found it super easy and intuitive. I set up a 13 item virtual auction that was easy at both the back end and the user end. We also sold tickets to an event on Zeffy and it was amazing how easy and seamless it was. I wish I'd known about Zeffy sooner.

Customer support is highly responsive as well.

**What do you dislike about Zeffy?**

The only thing I don't like is that I did not receive individual notifications of our Giving Tuesday donations. It took a few days for me to see those donations myself and it was embarrassing that I was late acknowledging the people who contributed.

One other thing: the ticketed event page needs a Pay What You Can option.

**What problems is Zeffy solving and how is that benefiting you?**

At the other donation platform we've been using, we're losing revenue to fees. We're a really small charity, so we sincerely appreciate not paying fees! We also love that we don't have to be tech geniuses to operate the platform!

I love keeping all my emails in one place with Zeffy. It's really useful to be able to get in touch with people directly through Zeffy and discuss what I'm trying to accomplish. Even though I'm not the most skilled with the Zeffy email platforms,  the emails I send through Zeffy are much better than the ones I used to send myself on Gmail. I found the setup process with Zeffy perfectly smooth—connecting my bank through Stripe was immediate, and I've never had any trouble with it. I really appreciate that kind of efficiency. AND I LOVE THAT WHETHER YOU PAY A FEE FOR YOUR DONATION IS A CHOICE FOR THE DONOR.

**What do you dislike about Zeffy?**

I would like to be able to call someone on the phone and get help directly. I know the world is moving away from that, but I find it's difficult for type my issues into an email - I have MS and am losing finger dexterity-  and I would like to get some live help.

**What do you like best about Zeffy?**

I loved that Zeffy is user-friendly, maintaining the names, addresses, and emails of donors, as well as an accounting of contributions. I also appreciate that it is an easily adaptable platform that we could personalize. The efficient way of responding to donors felt so personal. It doesn't require a super tech person to operate, and the setup for donor requests and evaluation was simple and required very little time on our part. You can simply forward the link to a potential donor with all the information about the campaign, including how their donation supports the nonprofit. Also, the no fee for nonprofits is a significant advantage.

**What do you dislike about Zeffy?**

It's a little confusing about the fee. No fee for nonprofits could be spelled out a little better along with some statement of the optional value of supporting the platform.
