I began using the tool for internal meetings and for those of our advisors. After an abrupt change in leadership, I needed to use it for board and investor meetings/calls. Zeck has been transformative for our Board materials prep and meeting planning. Previously, we dealt with outdated methods, producing bulky 80+ page PDFs that were cumbersome to create and tedious for our Board to review. At our Board Chair's suggestion, we explored Zeck and found it to be a game changer. As a small nonprofit with a one-person Board support team, I was excited about a more straightforward compilation process. Zeck streamlined our editing and solved issues like large file bounce-backs. Mitchell and Rebecca made onboarding seamless, ensuring I was comfortable with the software, my team was well-trained, and we had access to educational resources. Zeck’s user-friendly interface was easy to learn, even for our less tech-savvy team members. Rebecca’s support in training my team, both individually and in groups, was invaluable. The software enabled real-time collaboration on laptops and phones, provided a consistent format, and simplified our editing. The analytics gave us insights into how our Board engaged with the materials, while the comments feature allowed for pre-meeting discussions. This helped us prepare better and understand our Board’s needs. The website format allowed us to quickly navigate and share materials. Zeck reduced our preparation time from 8-12 hours to just 2-3 hours. We plan to continue to use this for our various Board and committee meetings, as well as to create an easy-to-access digital Board resource archive for our Bylaws, charters, committee lists, directory, and etc. I can't recommend Zeck enough—it has been a lifesaver. Zeck is an amazing tool that transforms the board prep process. Everything is so simple with Zeck. The app prompts you on how to create meaningful meetings and materials, makes presenting the information an absolute snap, ensures that dircetors have everything they need without needing to remember passwords, allows you to add additional materials that populate in the link directors already have, saving you from sending endless e-mails, it's just wonderful! Zeck has saved me countless hours of prep and what I love most is that I can create a copy of a prior meeting and then just adapt to the current quarter's information. This is so efficient and also ensures that our board receives the same format every time, making it very simple for them to process the information. What really sets Zeck apart is the FANTASTIC customer service. The people at Zeck truly go above and beyond every step of the way, from the first info session to the ongoing support. If I have a prolem, I can contact my account rep and will get an almost immediate response. No outsourced call centers, no poeple who talk to you like robots, real people that you have a relationship with - honestly some of the best cutsomer service I have ever experienced. The best part of Zeck is that it provides an opinionated format for running our board meetings AND a way to drive interactivity leading up to and following the meeting. It's a breath of fresh air to have a structured mode of interaction with the board and a way to get the awkward questions out of the way in advance. Before Zeck, our board meetings were either tense and stressful or a total no-op -- as if they could have just been a cursory email instead of a whole day commitment. As a bonus we get can be sure we're handling our documents and voting in line with the correct procedure. Board meetings are now actual interesting discussion with engaged members who come with questions and thoughts. We can drill into the real issues which is a real change. Plus the team is incredibly responsive and always happy to help or give advice, not only on the software's features but on effectively running board meetings in general. TL;DR: It's a structure and a mode of interaction enforced by the software itself, freeing us up to have meaningful discussions in the meeting. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. Reduces stress in the leadup to the meeting by facilitating easy collaboration in creation of our board deck, plus a unique way of interacting with the board.
