Let’s face it - sending someone a Calendly link is often seen as impersonal, if not outright disrespectful. As a potential customer, being asked to fill out a generic, cookie-cutter scheduling page can feel cold and transactional. Worse, the uninspired design reflects poorly on your business - suggesting a disregard for customer experience and a poor eye for design. Effortlessly Manage Appointments with ZCal **Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars **Reviewed by:** Dipesh S. **Reviewed Date:** October 28, 2025 **What do you like best about zcal?** I really love how zcal makes it extremely easy to share a meeting link with others - the link format is simple and memorable, which is incredibly convenient for quick access and sharing. I also find it highly impressive that when I share the link, my picture appears as a thumbnail in communications apps like WhatsApp and Telegram. This feature not only adds a personal touch but also makes it distinctly clear who the meeting links are associated with, enhancing the user experience. Setting up zcal was a breeze; the process was notably straightforward and didn't present any difficulty, allowing me to get started quickly. The ability to include different time zones within different links is particularly beneficial for coordinating with collaborators in various regions, and the option to pose custom questions during the booking process ensures I get the information I need efficiently. Overall, zcal's functionality and ease of use truly stand out. **What do you dislike about zcal?** I don't find the feature for recording a welcome video message while setting up links useful at all. I have not even tried this feature because I don't think anyone would ever go to someone's page and click to see their welcome message. It seems unnecessary to me. **What problems is zcal solving and how is that benefiting you?** I find zcal makes scheduling meetings seamless by allowing easy link sharing that includes my picture as a thumbnail, simplifying the process and improving user experience amidst many messages. ### 2. The most powerful free scheduling tool with some great upgrades **Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars **Reviewed by:** Joshua H. | Head of Product, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.) **Reviewed Date:** January 08, 2025 **What do you like best about zcal?** Its free tier is very full featured: multiple distinct event links, scheduling polls (aka "Doodles"), deep customizability, etc. It gives you basically everything in Calendly, but for free. I probably have 30 distinct scheduling links to help me manage my open calendar and professional work. I have a paid account (pretty cheap) just so I can support the business. **What do you dislike about zcal?** There are a few features I miss from expensive tools (like Motion) that I need to work around: (1) Scheduling links with multiple time options. (2) Native support for phone calls (where the person scheduling is prompted for their phone number) but that's about it. **What problems is zcal solving and how is that benefiting you?** I have an opent calendar. That means people are booking on my calendar from Linkedin, from various networking communities, from referrals, from volunteer work...and even my professional work (coaching).
