Z-Shot is a Chrome extension for screenshot capture, annotation, and screen recording, built for support, QA, product, and documentation teams who need to explain things visually — without exposing private data. Capture a full page, a scrolling page, a specific element, or a pixel-precise region, pin the result to your screen, and annotate it in the built-in editor with arrows, text, shapes, blur, and pixelation. Privacy Guard automatically detects and redacts sensitive information such as email addresses, phone numbers, and payment card details before you share. On-device OCR extracts text from screenshots in 17 languages. Z-Shot also records your screen: edit recordings by transcript in Video Studio with automatic zoom, turn a workflow into a step-by-step guide (exportable as Markdown, HTML, or PDF), or file a rich bug report directly to GitHub, GitLab, or Linear. Share captures through your own storage — S3, R2, Imgur, or a custom webhook — so your images stay under your control. Free plan available with no credit card required. Pro is $9.99/month per seat.
