**What do you like best about Yodeck?**

It's very simple to program, the cost for a single screen is very competitive even with the Yodeck Player, the connection is always stable, and you always have control of your screens wherever you are. The apps are good, quite customizable, and comprehensive.

**What do you dislike about Yodeck?**

It would be very convenient to program the player from a smartphone, perhaps having some text fields to edit also from the Mobile App, so as to be able to update some fields on the fly.

**What do you like best about Yodeck?**

I got a task in my football club to get a screen in our clubhouse setup to show information from the club and the federation. Asked chatgpt for the easiest way to get started and got Yodeck as a sugestion. Bought a Raspberry Pi (with no prior experience) and got it up and running in about an hour.   Solved everything I thought would be complicated "right out of the box" such as turning on and off screens according to opening hours etc. Easy to add and change content. Easy to monitor status.

So impressed on how easy it was to get up and running with no previous experience of digital signage!

**What do you dislike about Yodeck?**

Haven't found anything that I am missing at the moment.  Maybe support for Raspberry Pi 5 would be useful in the future.

**What problems is Yodeck solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We had a large screen in our clubhouse but it was always turned of and just used for meetings. Now we can show information to members and visitors during all opening hours in a very easy and affordable way. We now plan to extend to more screens in other parts of our facilities.

Through the screen managed by Yodeck they are able to show school news to school staff and students in real time. Every day they can be informed and updated on the activities. Very simple to use and the contents can be easily inserted even from a mobile phone

Sometimes, depending on the browser used, the preview is difficult to see.

Youtube Live streaming stops after few days, Whatever we try i wouldnot play the Live streaming.
Calender Looks old, Animation can be improved.

Yodesk is easy to use, and with the Canva integration, it makes it very easy for us to push content to our digital menu.

When we wanted to upgrade to a second screen, we had to pay for two subscriptions when they gave us the first one free.

**What do you like best about Yodeck?**

We have been using Yodeck for over a year using both Amazon Fire Sticks and Raspberry Pi's for the platform. It is the most cost effective of the services we researched and has proven to be easy to use and implement. Instructions are easy to setup Raspberry Pi's and any issues we have had have been primarily related to using the Fire Sticks rather than any actual problem with Yodeck. I really appreciate the schedule option as I can create a day-to-day playlist that runs all day every day and then plop in one off playlists on the schedule for specific events or specials without having to update each screen.

**What do you dislike about Yodeck?**

The only major issue I have run into that I have not looked further into resolving yet is that we purchased the latest model of the Amazon Fire Sticks and the Yodeck App is missing from the app store to download. I had reached out to support and they said that the app should exist and they do not know why I am having issues. I will have to try looking into this more soon and see if I can get this resolved. The easiest solution is that now that we have implemented Yodeck, as our old Fire Sticks break down we can just replace them with Raspberry Pi's instead. The sticks were the most cost effective option to start our system with but the Pi players are much more reliable.

**What problems is Yodeck solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We 20 TVs divided by two buildings in two different cities that we need to display bar menus and building content on. We had been using manual labour and USB sticks wandering around to each TV whenever we had to make a change and the USB sticks would fail a lot so it would be a daily issue to wander around the building and check they were all on and updated. We also had some older equipment that could only push updates via an internal network so if you are not physically in the building no updates could be accomplished. Being able to quickly and remotely update the signs saves a lot of time and frustration.

Completely manageable remotely, easy to use and send to screen. Lots of features available even on the free account. No expensive equipment needed, can be used integrated with a normal smart TV using an Amazon Fire Stick with ease.

I like all the cool features that Yodeck has, especially since they provide a lot of free features which is pretty cool to use. I enjoy putting up calendars, weather information, sports updates, and things like that because it makes the environment fun and exciting. The initial setup was pretty easy, as all the instructions are on the website and I just followed them step by step.

It'd be nice to have more apps, maybe put some live websites.

I use Yodeck to streamline ideas and project updates, making it easier to work and share goals with everyone. It's a fun tool for sharing updates for the upcoming weeks at work.

It is an easy to use interface and setup was pretty easy over all. Their api is fairly robust and does everything I need it to do.

The load time for some media is fairly slow.

**What do you like best about Yodeck?**

It allows you to use one screen completely free without having to start a trial or function with practically nothing. This allows small businesses and individuals to use it and love it and recommend it to those who have the budget for multiple screens. A brilliant marketing scheme that helps out the little guy at the same time.
Super intuitive and easy to learn to use. Very versatile. If it has limits on content, I have not run into them yet, which is a huge bonus over other screen options I looked at, where I was limited to very few pictures without paying. It also allows you to push changes or take over the screen at any time in its free version, which was the biggest reason I chose it at the beginning. I wanted a single screen that worked well for free. Now, I am recommending it to all my clients who have budgets for multiple screens, because they can work with one until they have it figured out, without time pressures from trials, and then expand endlessly for reasonable prices.

To be clear, I tried multiple platforms before landing on Yodeck. Let me save everyone some trouble and time...just use Yodeck!

**What do you dislike about Yodeck?**

Getting the calendar app to work has been a huge issue. I am still struggling to get it to work properly, so that is definitely an area that needs work.
My only other complaint so far is not having an app to modify and update the screen from my phone; I either have to log in through a browser app, which is definitely not set up to work well with a phone or wait until I am at my computer. But this is an inconvenience, not a big deal!

**What problems is Yodeck solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I started out by looking for a solution for a client who needed to provide automatic reminders to a senior relative, this allows them to have a screen that shows pictures of the family, the calendar of the senior's scheduled appointments and then on a schedule pops up a reminder to take their medications. This was where I began, now I am recommending it to churches and businesses that I consult with for technical upgrades and support for their communication, advertising and interactions.

**What do you like best about Yodeck?**

The most helpful part about using Yodeck is how user friendly the interface is. From the very beginning it was super easy to set up everything and implement it into my small business! I have had Yodeck for a year now and use it almost daily. I've had very few issues with the platform, and when something does arise their Customer Support has had extremely fast turn around times.

**What do you dislike about Yodeck?**

The only issues I've had with Yodeck is the minor syncing issues that come and go. When I 'push to screens' they don't always change right away and it can take around 30 minutes sometimes for the new content to be pushed to the screens.

**What problems is Yodeck solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Yodeck is helping me solve the problem of getting our content on a rotating playlist in front of customers. Their interface is so customizable which is why we continue to use Yodeck.

One thing I appreciate is that the free screen isn’t watermarked, which makes it possible to test and deploy before making any commitments. I also like the straightforward dashboard, as it provides options to address content needs without having to leave the main screen.

I would be a great option to keep the free account once you buy the service, that way you can continue deploying pilots without the need of a new account.

Yodeck allows me to do my displays remotely while sitting in my office. I can control several of my screens remotely to display ads, events, and more.

For the moment, I don't see it too clearly at first.

The fact that I can create a folder on the company's SharePoint and give distinct access to users. Then create a drive that can read these different folders at a specific time I want. Then the scheduling of displays, I can schedule the turning on or off of screens at the time I want.

Screen takeovers tend to take a little too long. While this isn't really a problem for typical digital signage applications, it becomes more noticeable when used at an event on the main stage. It would be great if you could take over a screen more quickly—almost instantly—and if media could be preloaded so there would be no loading time at all.

It was very easy to sign up and get started to display content. My company uses the premium plan as we wanted to display Power Bi dashboards. This annual plan came with the players and it was as simply as plug and play where the online software will recognise it. Their customer support has been very helpful with any questions I had during the setup process and display the content I needed.

**What do you dislike about Yodeck?**

So far my company has been very pleased with Yodeck and how their visual displays simplifies our processes. We do not have anything that we disliked about the software.

What I liked most were its advanced features and the way it focuses specifically on the signage industry, which helps make each department like the restaurant area—look more polished and visually appealing.

Pros

Very user-friendly web interface – creating layouts and playlists is intuitive.

Wide selection of apps (calendar, weather, dashboards, etc.) that make it easy to display dynamic content.

Supports multiple players (Raspberry Pi, Android, Fire TV, and browser-based), which gives flexibility.

Affordable pricing compared to many other signage platforms.

Excellent reliability when using the official Yodeck Player device.

**What do you dislike about Yodeck?**

Cons

Limited support on consumer devices like Samsung TVs – the built-in browser stopped working reliably, and the official Tizen player is only for professional signage displays.

No dedicated tvOS (Apple TV) app, which would be very helpful. Running Yodeck via AirPlay or browsers works, but resolution and stability are not ideal.

To-do integrations are limited. It would be great to have native support for Apple Reminders or more direct connections with iCloud.

**What problems is Yodeck solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Verdict
Yodeck is one of the best digital signage solutions I’ve tried. If you use it with the official Yodeck Player or a supported device like Fire TV or Raspberry Pi, it’s rock solid. On consumer smart TVs and Apple TV it still requires workarounds. For professional use, it’s an excellent choice; for home dashboards, it works well but could be more seamless with Apple’s ecosystem.

We’ve had to get a little creative to make certain slides look exactly how we want, especially when it comes to formatting and spacing.

The scheduling features are especially helpful -  we can plan content ahead of time and know it will rotate automatically.

**What do you like best about Yodeck?**

The ease of setup and creating the playlist. Managing the uploads to create the playlist was by far the most user-friendly process I have encountered. 
Saving, previewing and rearranging the playlist slides were easy and required no complex or drawn-out process.  I have worked with several different applications to create slideshows, and I am totally impressed with Yodeck. For my simple company, this is an excellent "digital signage solution." "Kudos" to the developers!!

I have used this solution to my signage for the past several months and have not encountered anything to dislike about Yodeck.

Yodeck has solved and benefitted my team with daily communication and reminders. As tasks are resolved and new areas of information are added, I can project the details for review which gives the team the opportunity to see, read, review and ask questions before the projects begin.

I was looking for a player that features a centrally managed CMS controller, allowing me to update playlists and make other changes easily. It was also important to me that transitions between content are smooth, without any interruptions like a black screen.

It just works. That may sound simple, but it’s exactly what you need when you have players across the country. Setup is seamless with SSO, and the options to play or show what you need are almost endless. Their support team responds quickly, too.

**What do you like best about Yodeck?**

YoDeck was intuitive and easy to use. The pricing is fair, and the YoDeck app that works on our Friestick provides flexibility when using our own devices. YoDeck also provided free players for the other licenses we purchased.  I was connected to a sales rep shortly after requesting to do so for general inquiries on annual pricing and expectations. Both customer service reps that I worked with were friendly and helped right away to answer all my questions. My company is set up with 8 screens and ready to start utilizing our digital signage platform right away. We are excited to see what else YoDeck has to offer.

**What do you dislike about Yodeck?**

We haven't found anything yet. So far it has been good.

Our business has around 250 employees. We have frequent announcements and news regarding events taking place at the plant, weather conditions etc that need to reach all of these employees. We use YoDeck to diaply general news and information on our TV displays around the plant so that employees are well informed.

What I like best about Yodeck is how easy it is to deliver compelling, professional content in my Great Clips salon reception area. I can upload franchisor-created and approved YouTube videos directly into Yodeck, and they play seamlessly on our screen. The content highlights the wide reach of our brand, the positive experiences families and working professionals enjoy, and the convenience of our affordable services. Guests are entertained during their short waits with meaningful visuals that reinforce their decision to get their haircut with us. Yodeck has become an invaluable tool for creating a welcoming environment and enhancing the customer experience.

**What do you dislike about Yodeck?**

There isn’t much to dislike — Yodeck has been very reliable. If anything, the setup and menu navigation took a little time to get used to at first, but once I learned the platform it was very straightforward. A few more built-in templates or ready-to-use layouts would make things even faster for small business owners like me.  My greatest frustration comes from the multistep process of pulling content from YouTube or the franchisor portal; then saving it to my hard drive; then uploading to Yodeck (or using the YouTube link); then building the Playlist; then creating a schedule; then assigning the Schedule to the Screen.  A few less steps would be ideal.

**What problems is Yodeck solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Yodeck solves the challenge of keeping customers engaged and informed while they wait for their haircut. It allows me to easily display franchisor-approved YouTube content and brand messaging on screens in my salons. This not only entertains guests during their short waits but also reinforces the value of choosing Great Clips — convenient, professional, and affordable hair care. The result is a more welcoming reception area, stronger brand awareness, and a better overall customer experience.

**What do you like best about Yodeck?**

We have a customer who needs digital signage for their movie theater.  Yodeck has allowed them to create exactly what they wanted to display, and it's allowed us to be able to install it for them with very little effort, and it works exactly like it's supposed to.  Once it gets an Internet connection, the Yodeck dashboard allows them to customize each display device, but it also allows us to make sure that the devices are functioning correctly.  And if we have any questions or issues, their customer support is very easy to work with.  I haven't had any major issues with their devices, and they seem to last quite a while.  Highly recommend this company.

**What do you dislike about Yodeck?**

When you first set up the device, it can be a little tricky troubleshooting why you may not be getting Internet.  The codes can take a little research to discover what's going on.  Also, trying to configure the device outside the Yodeck Portal can be a little cumbersome.   If you don't have a micro-HDMI to HDMI cable, you're not going to get access to the boot-up screen.  Outside of the portal, there is very little functionality with the device.  Also, there isn't any set mounting of the device; you have to become "creative" to get it to be somewhere hidden.  Also, the device is not PoE powered, so you need to have access to an A/C plug.  Again, it can make installation & usage a little trickier than it really needs to be.

**What problems is Yodeck solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our client needed the ability to change and control digital signage without having to remove USB sticks or program signage using a computer or controller.  By using Yodeck, we were able to give our client all the power and ease they needed, but also be able to remotely support them and the device if we needed to.  It allowed our customer to have full control and us, as their MSP, the ability to support them.  Plus, the devices just work so we aren't constantly having to remove them and repair or configure them.

I like that Yodeck has a free version and allows you to use your own hardware... It also offers pre-made kits with hardware and software for a nominal fee.

It could be user errors or just a bug at the time, but some of the web address monitoring did not work for me at the time. I like to tinker and figure things out, so it doesn't bother me that much.

Yodeck is allowing me to monitor my other self hosted server monitoring sites. As the admin, it gives me up to date info on the services I self host to me and my friends.

For me the best it´s simple configuration and web management, for the content and the setup too. It´s very flexible and complete.

Maybe I don´t know how, but a cache for web content is better when you are showing content direct from internet. For now is the only thing I found.

We use this daily within our retail store and having full customisation over what is displayed to our customers has been a god send. Yodeck make it super easy to setup and change what media is being shown to customers, we installed the simple app on a amazon firestick and it runs very nicely in the background. We had a few questions initial which the customer service team were more than happy to help with and guide us through the easy integration.

I wish there were some further options to scale media for the device they are running on, like stretch, cover etc, but is a very minor thing as long as the uploaded media is scaled properly.

Yodeck, have enabled us to show up to date marketing materials in our store and has become a talking point and helps to incentivise customers to purchase something that they may have not considered or advertise events that we are hosting.
