There are three main benefits that I get out of YCharts: 1. The dashboards put relevant information in front of me without needing to run multiple programs or keep multiple windows open. 2. Clean User Interface: YCharts UI is much cleaner than Morningsar or Kwanti. I use YCharts every day, and a clean UI is important to me. Their UI also makes onboarding simple. 3. What do you dislike about YCharts? It's hard to find something to dislike about YCharts. If I could add two things, it would be: 1. Adding an Excel plugin for Mac users. 2. Whether I'm talking about a portfolio or a specific security, YCharts has clean outputs that help my clients understand what's happening with their money. The "Stress Test" module helps me and my clients understand the risks associated with their portfolio during different market environments. The custom reports help me put the most relevant information in front of clients, instead of overloading them with information. Talking points have helped me hone in on a specific attribute of a client's portfolio. Slide Decks: YCharts periodically publishes slide decks tailored to the questions investors currently have. The tariff slide deck helped me bring insights to my clients in a time of uncertainty. Support: As a solo advisor, YCharts customer support is a game-changer. If I need help creating a chart, fund screen, or updating a proposal, YCharts support is there to help within seconds. No need to call in and wait on hold, their staff is available through direct message in the YCharts program. Portfolio Management: Fund screens, weekly performance emails, technical charts, correlation analysis, and much more - all in one place. The detail, charts, and due diligence that YCharts provides in a very intuitive way is excellent. And I'm in love with 'Y', its AI agent. We all get used to using what we use, and if those items could be 'bookmarked' and easier to repeatedly access that would be great. We used to use Morningstar Workstation, and YCharts was a huge upgrade. It is way more compressive for research on ETFs (as well as mutual funds and stocks) and the markets. It's pretty remarkable what you have at your fingertips. You can customize your Dashboard experience for how you work and what is important for you. And we are just scratching the surface for YCharts capabilities. Additionally, the private branding on custom YCharts (logo and contact info) portfolio reports for clients is a huge advantage for Client Approved reports. YCharts allows us to identify all portfolio metrics from asset allocation to risk metrics, which we use in portfolio construction and management as an RIA. You can easily analyze client and prospective client portfolios, even upload a statement for easy analysis. This is especially helpful for required 401(k) Rollover analysis. YCharts is a must for investment professionals and they are always adding new features. Customer Support is top-notch and YCharts offers scheduled tutorial training classes to really maximize your experience. It is user-friendly and easy to implement in your daily routines and investment management practice. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What do you dislike about YCharts? We update and archive our Model Portfolio Reports monthly. And while you can run them on month-end dates, with month-end data, the reports currently only show the date you run them on. If you want your report to be as of month-end, you have to run the report on that specific date. Otherwise, if you run the report on say January 3, it will show January 3 and not as of month-end or year-end as intended. I am told YCharts is working on this. YCharts helps greatly in our Client Communications with the custom Allocation Insight reports we created to replace Morningstar's Snapshots. Like I mentioned above, we get to brand the reports with our logo and contact information. I use YCharts to accurately track my team's model portfolio performance over time, including quarterly changes, which was something we couldn't do before. I appreciate how YCharts makes it super easy to research securities and potential changes in an intuitive, user-friendly place. It's very simple to use but can also go very deep for those who need it, a balance they've struck well. I also like that they're always releasing new updates and features and are open to feedback and questions. Having everything in one place has greatly consolidated our workflows. What do you dislike about YCharts? Their portfolio comparison reports are pretty complex and less easy-to-understand for clients than Nitrogen Wealth. YCharts' reports are really good for deep dives, but there's just too much technical info and nothing easy to grasp things like Nitrogen's Risk Score for a client. I use YCharts to research mutual funds, and I love how it puts everything in one place, so I don't have to look in a hundred different places. The one-stop information gathering is fantastic, and the screeners help me find the mutual funds I'm interested in very quickly. It's great for finding mutual funds that continue to go up even when the market is falling. The initial setup was very easy, and I really appreciate the customer service reps at YCharts chat who were great to deal with and quickly answered all of my questions. The features are tailored towards investment advisors with many clients, which doesn't suit me as an individual investor with zero clients. So I am paying for features that a professional advisor would utilize. I'd appreciate a cheaper package for individual investors like me. Also, I wish the trading data for the day was available earlier after the market closes for the day, as this would be really helpful.
