I set up our conference app in a fraction of the time that it took me last year on a different app. Also, the team at Yapp has been incredibly helpful and quick to answer my questions and help me figure out different features. If I had to make changes, it took less than a minute to make the change and publish it again. For our users, it is very user friendly. I have not had a single complaint about it, but have had many people respond that everything they needed to find was listed. **What do you dislike about Yapp?** My only complaint is that if I choose a page template, but find it doesn't work for what I am doing, I have to delete it and start over. It would be nice to be able to just switch, but that may not be possible. **What problems is Yapp solving and how is that benefiting you?** Yapp is providing all the information that we used to have printed in a booklet. The printing cost alone were over $15,000 each year for our conference. We got so much positive feedback from our attendees, and it prevented the organizers from getting multiple messages asking where to be or what time something started. We will use this every year going forward! We had 90% of the attendees download the app and thousands of views! The analytics for the app are also amazing. It was great to be able to see how many participants had downloaded the app and which days and pages were being viewed. We received a lot of engagement on the Social Feed, especially considering it was our first year, and we were easily able to download those pictures to create a slide show for the final dinner. **What do you dislike about Yapp?** I would like to see the Yapp have the ability to schedule reminders. We would like to be able to compose reminders ahead of time and schedule the date and time when they are sent out in the Yapp. **What problems is Yapp solving and how is that benefiting you?** We didn't have to print paper agendas, and we were able to update events in real time. Their customer service is immediate, friendly, and helpful. They are real people that help in the live chats and I don't think they sleep because I have chatted with them at all hours of the day and night and somebody live always helps me out! You can't beat the price....and you would think the quality would suffer due to the low cost, but it doesn't! I love that I can do everything I need and want from an app without spending precious time reading through steps on how to build or rebuild my app from year to year. It's so easy to reuse a previous year's app so you are not starting anew each year. I can also assign team managers so they can go over pieces of the app and help with the workload. **What do you dislike about Yapp?** Spell check! Several times after the app is published, I find a spelling error that one of my editors made and have to go in to correct it. Maybe that we cannot add in more creative touches on the pages.....like design imports from Canva? But honestly, not sure if I would even want that because I truly love the ease of updating our app from year to year by swapping in new data. I'd rather not have to spend time on removing and uploading new designs. We are a team of volunteers and we can't afford time to spend on making a supercreative app with tons of pages.....everything Yapp prvoides is what we need to have an efficient conference! Our conference is for teenagers and they live in a very fast paced world and the Yapp app allows them to find what they need quickly without all the fluff and distractions. **What problems is Yapp solving and how is that benefiting you?** It's replacing our traditional program book, therefore allowing us to save paper and printing expenses, and thereby eliminating the excuse of where do I go because I left my program book in my room . It allows me to send out announcements to the group for last minute changes or to have key info in their feed so they don't have to hunt around for it through emails. ### 14. It was extremely easy to set up and allowed us to push updates and announcements seamlessly during the meeting. All users we polled found the app useful and provided positive feedback. The customer support was fantastic; when I had a few questions during the meeting, the Yapp team responded immediately and answered all my queries. **What do you dislike about Yapp?** I really can't think of a criticism that would be considered significant. We did get a couple of comments about the app name, revolving around the somewhat negative connotation that the word 'yap' has (someone who talks incessantly without really saying anything). We're a small event with a small footprint. We implemented in less than 36 hours, without needing customer support, were able to provide a good attendee expereince, and will definitely use YAPP again. **What do you dislike about Yapp?** The only gap we had with attendee use was their discovery of the tools in the upper right hand corner -- like their schedule, vs the full schedule. I had excellant customer support as well as being able to easly integrate it into my conference emails that are sent to attendees. The ability to add the documents to the schedule along with the speaker was hands down the best part for me with creating my pages on my YAPP app. **What do you dislike about Yapp?** The only downside is having to pay for each app individually as we are a very lean conference and have 2-3 (1.5 day) conferences that i would love to use the app, but i do not want to erase the previous information yet i do want technology to start being part of how we move our audience to the future. I am sure we will figure a way to do this. **What problems is Yapp solving and how is that benefiting you?** YAPP helps us solve the problem of printing so many documents for our attendees. With nearly 500 folks at our annual conference, it is much easier to post the brochure, maps of locations and all other information in a user friendly way. We are a small board and were worried about how much time it would take to set up our conference but really it was just a couple of hours and we set up all the information. Additionally there was no way for attendees to communicate directly in the app by subject matter. Before Yapp, we would print a 52-page conference program for each attendee. It was wasteful, and inevitably, the information needed to be updated immediately after we went to press. We have stopped printing the paper program. Importing a csv couldn't be much easier. Our conference also engaged with the social wall quite often. Individualized schedules also was a massively utilized feature that worked without question. Also, whenever we did find a bug or issue, the Yapp team was promptly responsive and worked through the issue. Considering most conference apps are now running almost 10 times as much, while this does clearly have a look/style that you have to live with, it works reliably and well for a very reasonable budget. I'll definitely recommend it again. **What do you dislike about Yapp?** The lack of GIF support was a challenge (though it exists I think in advertising banners if you pay for that add-on). We also ran into problems with image viewing on Android, though that was resolved by the team. Aside from those, it's a great software. **What problems is Yapp solving and how is that benefiting you?** We needed an app for a 1,000+ person conference that needed to be fully built out and in place within about 2 months. In all honestly, Yapp makes it so we could have had it up and running in a week. It did exactly what we needed it to and there were really no issues with it during the events.
