-Sometime the references answers can be generic/vague and you've got no way of probing

I love that XRef does the work for me! I supply the information of the candidate and the rest is on the candidate to supply references. Saves so much time for us!

I don't like that I have to use a code each time I log in.

Time constraints - sometimes it would take ages to connect with a reference.

The tailored service we receive is outstanding. The additional expertise, insight and support from the Consultants at Xref Engage is priceless. There is a strong willingness to partner with us to help us understand the feedback we are receiving and how to invest our efforts to have the greatest impact to our people. The dashboard is clear and the functionality easy to use.

Over time, it woudl be great to better partner with Xref in the action planning process to emplower leaders across the university to take ownership of their results and consider strategies to drive this.

The process of obtaining references is completely automated, which saves us loads of time. I also really like the security features which means it alerts us when there are potential fraudulent references obtained

The pulse survey set up could be better, we don't use it as the structure/ style is very limited

The opt in option for references who may be interested in work opportunities themselves
The integration with our ATS is great. 
Customer service from the team with tips and tricks on reference questions etc.

**What do you dislike about Xref?**

Could make some improvements such as sms notification to the candidate and the ability to update, create and amend the questionnaires yourself.
Expensive for what it is in comparision to other systems on the market

Saves us time as completely automated and also flags potential fraud which is great. Give us a pipeline of candidates for other positions to be filled also

It's really user friendly on all angles, the employer, the candidate and their references. It's also quite interactive.

It sometimes glitches or corrupts a file which then means the candidates selected reference needs to go through the process again.

They're solving the functionality of it, meaning our candidates experiences are much smoother.

Very good tool for the reference completion at ease and flexibility of referees working different shifts/time zones and locations.

The navigation can be bit difficult at times as there arent links between the candidates and survey dashboards.

Turn around time is shortened
matching availability is no longer a concern.

I like how intuitive Xref is. You require almost no training to use the platform. I rarely have candidates having trouble using the site.

I do not like how you have to have a verification code to login. Should just be email & password.

Easy to Navigate. 
Like the Alerts if anything looks suspicious about references.
Like the reminders given to the referees and to the business.
If contact them for any advice - Good customer service received.

At this time not found anything I dislike about it.

X-Ref has assisted us with streamlining our reference checks. Before it was phone calls back an forth  or emails that usually had to be followed up.

Dont have to play phone tag with the references and waste either one of our valuable time

It doesnt adapt to phones or tablets. Really only good for use on a computer.

Easily uploads the completed references into the clients profile and eliminates a lot of time trying to chase down references

The only thing would be that sometimes for Senior roles the need is for us to do one outside the system

By allowing candidates to enter their own information and verifying that their references promptly react, Xref makes it simpler to check references. By completely automating the process of checking in with candidates and their references, it saves me time and effort. The service is also extensive, enabling me to meet my professional needs and tailor my queries to referees.

**What do you dislike about Xref?**

I have just utilised the websites reference checking feature, so I cant comment on anything else. Its important to keep in mind, though, that referees sometimes find XREFs thoroughness to be a hassle. Every 24 hours, XREF reminds referees to finish the reference by emailing them a reminder.

**What problems is Xref solving and how is that benefiting you?**

With the help of the time-saving technology Xref, I may give other chores more priority. It not only aids in exposing dishonesty but also offers insightful advice from prior supervisors. Xref is a ground-breaking HR solution

The tool has an algorithm that measures a referee's 'tone of voice'. It picks up on the positive, neutral, and negative language used by the referee to give you an indication of the candidate's performance, reducing the chance for a reference to be misinterpreted.

Xref Engage is an easy to use system that allows me to obtain employee data rapidly. The company also provides top notch support for their product.  I frequently use there products, and I found it exceptionally easy to adjust it to any situation I require.

I personally like all of the products that I have used from Xref. There are only areas of minor polish required, such as the ability to split the one text box into multiple to ease filtering comments from very large surveys.

Efficient and easy to use, the tool for flagging fake references is also really good. The website is easy to navigate and I appreciate the regular email reminders / updates.

It can be difficult to manually add / edit reference information from my end, it would be great to just be able to edit a phone number or email address that has been supplied by a candidate, rather than having to get them to re-submit.

TIme. Traditinoally, chasing up referees is a very time consuming process. Using Xref, the responsibility is back on the candidates to supply easily reachable referees and then follow them up when they don't respond.

I find I receive a lot of emails due to high volume recruitment, however this is easily managed.

i havent used other reference platforms but Xref is very easy to navigate the system. not many clicks are needed to submit a new reference and the support team is always quick to respond.

not so much as dislike, but sometimes it would be nice not to always have to put in a verification code. i understand why this is an aspect of their process though

Faulty references. A couple of concerns have come back flagged, which has helped the team determine next steps in a new hires position at the company. it has also helped provide us with some insight from past managers.

Note that XREF's comprehensiveness can also be annoying to be on the other end of. XREF will send your referees a prompting email every 24 hours to remind them to complete the reference. 

It's both encouraging, because the person who has asked for the reference, and the referee receive progress updates, and annoying, as it treats the user like a bit of a criminal for not completing the reference during a busy work day

**What problems is Xref solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Organisation of over 3000 staff with severe staff shortages (Disability Care, Community Services) XRef allows for referencing to be completed in a largely automated way, pending the review of results. This allows staff to focus on the recruitment side of the business more than the follow ups.

**What do you like best about Xref?**

Client partner (Louise) was very helpful and accomodating, supported timely action with requests, and a clear pathway for design, development and delivery. 

The system is functional and easy to use. The portal is easy to navigate; and is responsive to evolving needs (i.e., allows for us to re-open, make changes, etc.)

**What do you dislike about Xref?**

The design of the custom report is messy, and this undermines the professionalism of the product due to inconsistent formatting that cannot easily be edited.

Query additional support on validity and reliabilty assessment on measures used? Construct validity?

**What problems is Xref solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Alignment to our custom framework makes conversations with the stakeholders we are debriefing easier. Easy to set up and manage internally (on-demand, as needed).
