## XMLSpy Reviews
  ### 1. XMLSpy - One of the best Mark up Language Editor

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Indrajeet D. | Technical Lead, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 11, 2022

**What do you like best about XMLSpy?**

XMLSpy is one of the best tools for editing, debugging and coding in XML and JSON formats.
It eases the schema design of XSD, JSON Schema, XSLT, XQuery, XBRL, SOAP, and more.

**What do you dislike about XMLSpy?**

Lack of free version.
The cost is too high.
Too many updates whole round the year creates confusion on stability.
Examples are not easy to understand.

**What problems is XMLSpy solving and how is that benefiting you?**

End-to-end solution for any XML and JSON format designing, compiling, editing and viewing.
GUi-based view, which makes it very easy to understand and design schemas.
Helps validate and formating huge XML and JSON files.

  ### 2. Altova XMLSpy should be your first choice for working with XML schemas

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Logistics and Supply Chain | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 14, 2021

**What do you like best about XMLSpy?**

Altova XMLSpy provides an excellent visual user interface for designing new XML schemas from scratch and maintaining existing XML schemas. It allows even novices to learn how XML schemas work and figure out how to create an XML schema to model real-world objects or represent the data structures that are relevant to them.

**What do you dislike about XMLSpy?**

The software licensing costs for Altova XMLSpy might put it out of reach of non-corporate users. It would be great if there were a lite or free version that was available for non-commercial use.

**What problems is XMLSpy solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We use Altova XMLSpy in our software development toolchain for enterprise integration and business-to-business integration. It is our core tool for designing or maintaining XML schemas, and we also use it for inspecting and reformatting XML documents and investigating and diagnosing issues with XML data. It has saved hundreds of hours of effort that we would have expended had we been required to craft XML schemas line by line manually.
