"Transforms Complex Ideas into Engaging Presentations"
5/5
What do you like best about Xmind?

I really appreciate how Xmind allows for creative visualization of complex topics in a simple way, making it interactive for the audience. I like that it solves the issue of having to use pen and paper for idea creation and makes refining ideas and presenting them so much easier. The feature that enables instantaneously making content presentable is wonderful. I also enjoy the different templates available, which make it easy to put ideas together in a way that everyone can visualize. The ability to present the same data in various ways with just one-time effort is a standout feature. The ease of use with options to download and edit PPT, alongside multiple templates for presentations, is particularly useful. Setting up Xmind was quite easy, just a download and it's plug and play. What do you dislike about Xmind?

For Xmind, I feel that adding more images, emojis, or the different symbols would be better. Furthermore, it's currently very limited as you can't search for these elements. There should be a search panel so that if I want to add something specific, like a flower, I can find it easily. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Easy Visualization, Customizable Yet Structured"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Xmind?

I like that Xmind is easy to use and very visual, which makes it straightforward to map out processes. Its customizable design allows me to adapt it to different needs. I find the drag-and-drop feature very practical because while it's not overly freeform, it still lets me make changes on the fly. This is something I appreciate compared to tools like Visio or Word, where I'd have to start over or make the program work for me instead of it adapting to my needs. The initial setup was very easy, which was another plus for me. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Xmind?

I'm not familiar with every facet of Xmind, but in my usage, I wish there were a few more options. For example, more radial options for an array or more spectrum choices, and more linear options for a boolean set of this vs. that. Something like a musical Wheel of 5ths as a guideline for the first, and for the second, a two-choice preset might be useful for those looking for something specific. However, I'm not sure if presets are within the scope of what you're focusing on. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

As a consultant, I appreciate how it transformed my chaotic ideas into structured clarity with its intuitive design. Even in a mid-sized team, Xmind’s collaborative features and intuitive design make it easy to contribute ideas, organize projects, and stay aligned. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Xmind?

Xmind excels at visualizing ideas and streamlining workflows, but I’d love to see deeper integration with other productivity tools like Notion or Trello and more customization options for templates. Occasionally, the mobile app feels less intuitive than the desktop version. Still, it’s an indispensable tool for organizing thoughts and projects. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Perfect for Mapping Complex Site Flows"
4/5
What do you like best about Xmind?

I use Xmind for brainstorming, sitemaps, and product flows. Xmind helps me think clearly and jot down complicated flows simply. I appreciate how the UI works really well, along with the nesting functions, making it easy to branch out while working on sitemaps. The product design and simplicity of Xmind are great, as it's extremely simple to use without needing additional setup. I also like the notes and branches, which I use daily. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Xmind?

I feel like one feature that's currently missing from Xmind is the ability to export a mind map as a markdown file. That feature would be really beneficial. Also, I would really like if Xmind could connect directly to Claude or ChatGPT. I don't think the plugins are directly available, which makes it difficult for me to explain the process to non-technical people. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Versatile Mind-Mapping with Cross-Platform Ease"
4/5
What do you like best about Xmind?

I use Xmind to organize work, ideas, projects, and study materials, and it’s great for building a structured knowledge base. I love that it works seamlessly across all platforms, with a clean UX and strong visual design that really helps me as a neurodivergent person to structure my thoughts. It makes planning enjoyable, and getting started was as simple as installing and logging in. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Xmind?

I find Xmind’s filtering a bit limited since it only works with icons and tags. Coming from Xmind 8, I sometimes need to search for certain tools in the newer interface, though that’s mostly a matter of getting used to it. I’d love more flexible ways to visually connect multiple child topics to one parent, and deeper integrations with Microsoft To‑Do and Azure DevOps would make task management even better. "Visually Engaging Note-Taking with Xmind"
5/5
What do you like best about Xmind?

I use Xmind mainly to create brain maps and take notes in a visually appealing way, which is important for me as it’s a different approach compared to traditional tools like Quizlet or Google Docs. I enjoy how Xmind bridges the gap between traditional notes and drawing, giving me the freedom to let my notes work for me. The platform works better for me compared to Obsidian due to its straightforward nature, and the initial setup was super easy. I like how Xmind is a unique platform compared to others and how the visualization tools are the best features. The ability to connect stray bubbles in different and easy ways is very helpful for easily bridging connections in my notes. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Xmind?

Some of the paywalls make it hard to see all the benefits that the app offers. I would like to see a side by side on how the experience differs from a pro vs a normal user so I could feel the difference on how much more help the subscription is. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Mind Mapping Made Easy and Accessible"
5/5
What do you like best about Xmind?

I like that Xmind is available everywhere, on the phone, desktop, and web. It's really easy to input stuff using just the tab and the enter key. The initial setup was really easy, not only simple to grasp, and to look around the menus and discover things, but they also have great YouTube videos that introduce you to all the basics. So, it's very easy to pick up. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Xmind?

I think it will be good if they implemented a search across every single mind map so you can find things in different mind maps. Also, I think that the maps could be organized better so they could have folders to put related subject maps together. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
