"More Than Mind Mapping—A Better Way to Think"
5/5
What do you like best about Xmind?

What I love most is how intuitive it is. The drag-and-drop functionality makes it effortless to reorganise ideas as my thinking evolves—I can simply move entire branches around in seconds instead of starting again. Another feature I use constantly is the ability to crop nodes. Being able to hide parts of a large mind map lets me focus on just the section I'm working on or presenting, making even very large maps easy to manage and navigate. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Xmind?

If I had one suggestion, it would be to improve performance when working with exceptionally large mind maps. Most of my maps are substantial, and while XMind handles them well overall, navigation can occasionally become less responsive as they grow. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Essential Tool for Visual Collaboration"
5/5
What do you like best about Xmind?

I like using Xmind for a lot of things, like explaining how we'll make websites for clients and planning internal operations. It's easy to analyze plans and make strong documents with it. The easiness and numerous use cases are great, and it makes explaining ideas much simpler. People get a clear visual idea of what's being thought, which helps with understanding the workflow and operations. It's also really easy for initial setup, just logging in with a Gmail account. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Xmind?

I think there should be a feedback form once in a while or a place where we can ask the developers to add some features. Other than that, I think it's really good. Great performance and pricing Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Intuitive Tool, Perfect for Teaching Workflows"
3.5/5
What do you like best about Xmind?

I use Xmind for functional decomposition in engineering design with my students to create function diagrams. I appreciate how Xmind visually displays the function structure with a clear tree structure that shows what and how functions interact. It's easier to use than a spreadsheet, which can get messy. Xmind allows students to quickly grasp how functions affect component choices and understand function-driven design. The intuitive interface and shallow learning curve mean I didn't need fancy tutorials to get started. It was easy to set up because I could sign in online to access it, which made everything straightforward. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Fast, Stable Mind Mapping That Makes Meeting Notes Easy to Remember"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Xmind?

Easy to use and fast. It helps me remember key details from meetings and brainstorms much better than traditional note-taking or plain text.

Performance on my Macbook is great, loads fast and is very stable. I use the free version and store my mind maps in the cloud, but for those that prefer to pay for cloud sync I feel that the value is worth it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Xmind?

The only downside I can think of is that it may take some time to adjust your workflow to mind maps if you’re used to traditional note-taking, but it’s worth it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Xmind’s Infinite Canvas Makes Connecting Ideas Easy"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Xmind?

I have been using Xmind for several years now. I love that it's infinite paper -- and that I'm not stuck in linear thinking mode. I like that I can use it to build connections across my ideas and that it's more like a notebook than a software. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Xmind?

Sometimes I wish that it integrated a little better with other things. I do link PDFs and URLs from time to time. It would be nice if I could include the front page of a PDF seamlessly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Friendly, Easy-to-Use Mind Mapping That Clearly Presents Ideas"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Xmind?

Honestly, I only use the free version with mindmap. But it helps me to show off clearly my idea, and help me to presentate.

Its UI/UX is very friendly and easy to use.

Until now, free version still is very use with me. I love it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Xmind?

I have not yet had the opportunity to use paid version (Pro or Premium) to try the other luxury functions as AI, task, etc. I hope with free version, I can 1 map with the other functions, so I can decide whether to use them or not in the future. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Easy, Fast Mind Mapping with Xmind at a Reasonable Price"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Xmind?

Xmind provides an easy-to-use interface for me to draw mind maps. Mind maps, historically, is my most-used tool to help me organise things. Xmind provides me with an opportunity to increase my capabilities to draw my daily mind maps. As it is a plain file, I can share it with my friends and to be used on my other machines. It is fast, responsive and the price is reasonable for what it is. I didn't touch the AI function, but it is promising. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Xmind?

The AI part seems basic, but it keeps asking me to subscribe to what I don't want. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Intuitive Mind Mapping with Helpful Templates and Cross-Platform Flexibility"
5/5
What do you like best about Xmind?

I am a visual thinker and so I appreciate the ability to create mind maps. The interface intuitive and easy to navigate. The starter templates are useful for those unused to maps. I've been able to create everything I've wanted to so far. Visually I can see relationship clearly, compared to having information in tables. I also appreciate the ability to work on a map on several platforms. Very helpful! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Xmind?

I do keep dates in some maps as todos. The ability to work with those dates and for example get reminders would be helpful. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Effortless Brainstorming to Structured Roadmaps with Xmind"
5/5
What do you like best about Xmind?

What I love most about Xmind is how effortlessly it organizes chaotic brainstorming sessions into clean, structured roadmaps. The interface is highly intuitive, allowing you to build complex mind maps in minutes without losing your creative flow. Plus, the flexibility to switch between different layouts—like logic charts and timelines—makes it incredibly easy to see the big picture and turn raw ideas into an actionable plan. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Xmind?

My biggest issue with Xmind is how tricky it can be to collaborate with a team in real-time compared to other cloud-based tools. It often feels like it was built primarily as a desktop-first application, so sharing a map or getting others to edit it seamlessly can be a bit clunky. Also, the file sizes can get surprisingly heavy once you start attaching media or images to your nodes. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Clear, Efficient Presentations with a Time-Saving Preset Library"
4/5
What do you like best about Xmind?

It helps me present my ideas in a clear, well-structured way. With the preset library, I can easily choose the one that best fits my presentation. It's very efficient and saves me a lot of time. The price is very competitive to similar softwares. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Xmind?

What I dislike is I cannot fix the direction and angels of the branches. Although it helps to increase the working efficiency, sometimes the exported figure gets a very weird dimention, especially when I want to incorporate the image into other prensentation files.
