I use Xmind for functional decomposition in engineering design with my students to create function diagrams. Xmind provides an easy-to-use interface for me to draw mind maps. Mind maps, historically, is my most-used tool to help me organise things. Xmind provides me with an opportunity to increase my capabilities to draw my daily mind maps. As it is a plain file, I can share it with my friends and to be used on my other machines. What I dislike is I cannot fix the direction and angels of the branches.
