## Xmind Reviews
  ### 1. Time-Saving for School Projects But Pricey

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Accounting | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 04, 2026

**What do you like best about Xmind?**

I mainly use Xmind for school work, creating presentations like classical mind maps. I can present things more quickly than with other applications, solving my time issues. I also like that the AI result is easily modifiable, allowing me to correct or improve results when they are visually unappealing or factually incorrect.

**What do you dislike about Xmind?**

The pricing is too high, especially considering that Xmind is more than likely just a ChatGPT wrapper, and then paying 8.25USD is a bit high. I had some trouble during the login because I tried signing up with Google and it just sent me back to the landing page, but apart from that it's not difficult to use.

**What problems is Xmind solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Xmind for school work to create presentations quickly and solve time issues. I like that AI results are easily modifiable, improving workflow by allowing corrections.

  ### 2. Xmind Feels Limited on Free Plan, with Mobile and Sync Needing Improvement

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Real Estate | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 22, 2026

**What do you like best about Xmind?**

Xmind is easy to pick up and use right away. It has a good variety of map styles so you can choose whatever fits your project best. I use it regularly for planning and brainstorming and it helps me stay organized without a lot of extra effort.

**What do you dislike about Xmind?**

Some of the more useful features are locked behind the paid plan, which feels limiting if you are just getting started. The mobile app could also use some improvement as it is not as smooth as the desktop version. Syncing between devices can sometimes be slow.

**What problems is Xmind solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Xmind helps me turn scattered ideas into clear structured plans. The integrations with other tools I already use make it easy to fit into my workflow without having to change much. The AI features help speed up the brainstorming process by suggesting ideas and connections I might not have thought of. When I have run into issues the support team has been responsive and helpful. Overall it saves me time and keeps my projects better organized.

  ### 3. Beautiful UI and Icons, but Map Sharing and Embedding Need Work

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rodrigo Andrés D. | Presidente, Research, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 05, 2026

**What do you like best about Xmind?**

The user interface and icons are very well designed

**What do you dislike about Xmind?**

We need to improve the way maps are shared and make it possible to embed them on a website, for example, or integrate them with other applications, such as Click App.

**What problems is Xmind solving and how is that benefiting you?**

organize my ideas and connect them

  ### 4. Bringing clarity to ideation and team Collaboration

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 05, 2026

**What do you like best about Xmind?**

I like the ease of use , creating nodes. And especially the share / collaboration feature.

**What do you dislike about Xmind?**

I would like to see more integration with Product Strategy tools like Aha or productPlan. Alternatively, would be greate to have a few of Product strategy templates available here like Business Model canvas, or Value Preposition canvas

**What problems is Xmind solving and how is that benefiting you?**

great at Brainstorming ideas, articulating unstructured thoughts, and sharing / collaborating among team

  ### 5. Great Customization, Needs a Modern Interface

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Leah .

**Reviewed Date:** January 06, 2026

**What do you like best about Xmind?**

I like the visual aspect of Xmind, as it stops me from spiraling over everything I need to do in a day because it's all laid out in a dashboard. I like the customizable block concept; it feels so visual and much more personalized than Notion. I also like how all the tasks sync.

**What do you dislike about Xmind?**

I hate the overall interface - outdated font, limited abilities compared to Notion. For example, tables are not customizable and you can't even merge cells. Databases are weird and confusing to learn. There's so many limits to pages and stuff and honestly it doesn't feel seamlessly put together. I can't sync Google Calendar without the premium/pro version. The templates kinda suck.

**What problems is Xmind solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Xmind's visual layout prevents me from spiraling over daily tasks by organizing them in a dashboard. I like the customizable block concept for its personalization, and task syncing is a plus.

  ### 6. It's convenient for visual organization and sharing, but it has difficulties with large-scale projects.

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Legal Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 04, 2026

**What do you like best about Xmind?**

Using Xmind, you can organize and consolidate business considerations and policies. It's convenient for organizing scattered opinions and considerations and putting them in order. Additionally, I like that you can organize your thoughts visually, view them from a bird's-eye perspective, and easily share them. Particularly, because you can visualize the relationships between considerations and issues as a mind map, it's possible to organize even complex themes while viewing the overall picture. The initial setup is also completed in a few minutes, which is hassle-free.

**What do you dislike about Xmind?**

When the content becomes large-scale, it becomes difficult to organize, which is a concern. Specifically, there can be too many branches, making it hard to view. Additionally, it would be better if the operability and management of change history were easier when multiple people are editing simultaneously.

**What problems is Xmind solving and how is that benefiting you?**

You can use Xmind to organize scattered opinions and summarize complex themes while visualizing the overall picture. Sharing is also easy.

  ### 7. Easy-to-Use Spiderweb Features, but Needs Better IT Icon Support

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer & Network Security | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 17, 2026

**What do you like best about Xmind?**

It has spiderweb features that are easy to use.

**What do you dislike about Xmind?**

Lack of capability like inserting icons that would be relevant for an it department

**What problems is Xmind solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Effective mindmap making

  ### 8. Effective diagram creation, but the UI could be more modern

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 23, 2026

**What do you like best about Xmind?**

I like the boxes and arrows in Xmind, which help me create diagrams and images. Additionally, I find that all the features of Xmind are equally good.

**What do you dislike about Xmind?**

I find the user interface of Xmind not as modern as it could be.

**What problems is Xmind solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Xmind to create diagrams and images, and I particularly appreciate the boxes and arrows.

  ### 9. Easy Creation with Editing Limitations

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Luisa .

**Reviewed Date:** December 27, 2025

**What do you like best about Xmind?**

I like that I can type information in Xmind and the app creates a mind map for me. It's also very easy to set up.

**What do you dislike about Xmind?**

What I think is a bit annoying is when I created a Mind map and my map is not how I wanted the Mind map to be then I cannot change the mind map I have to create completely new mind map

**What problems is Xmind solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Xmind to create mind maps easily by typing information into the app, which then generates the mind map for me.

  ### 10. Convenient for Complex Diagrams, Stunning Visuals

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Hiren P.

**Reviewed Date:** December 24, 2025

**What do you like best about Xmind?**

I use Xmind to create flow charts and mindmaps for business processes. It's really helpful for brainstorming and exploring new concepts. The diagrams and videos it creates are really convenient, especially when expanding branches for complex diagrams, and the visuals are great. The initial setup of Xmind was the easiest.

**What do you dislike about Xmind?**

i found expensive product. i have educational benefits for free at another softwares

**What problems is Xmind solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Xmind for brainstorming and exploring new concepts, making complex diagrams easier with convenient branch expansion and great visuals.

  ### 11. Needs Better Flowchart and Stencil Support

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in E-Learning | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 24, 2025

**What do you like best about Xmind?**

Lacks support with flowchart and free drawing.

**What do you dislike about Xmind?**

Lack of support for flowchart and known stencils.

**What problems is Xmind solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Quick train of thought.

  ### 12. Xmind is a good solution for small buinesses

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Machinery | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 20, 2023

**What do you like best about Xmind?**

I use Xmind to express my planned flow charts to other colleagues. I use flow charts so often for my job. I structure new process because of my duty. In order to express the flows I needed software which I can easily sketch. The software also had to be cheap. Therefore, I used Xmind for that purpose. The users can draw business flows or hierarchies by this affordable solution.

**What do you dislike about Xmind?**

It is hard to draw the bubbles or flow steps. You must be used to first. The software has a logic of sketching and it requires time and effort to learn. It is not easy to understand. But once you understand the logic, the rest goes fine.

**What problems is Xmind solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Instead of drawing charts from MS powerpoint or MS word, Xmind is much more professional and the ability of the software is much more better than those alternatives. If you use flowcharts just for your own work and beginner level charts are ok for you, Xmind could be a nice solution.

  ### 13. Mind maps that sync across platforms

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jayteerth K. | Founder, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 16, 2023

**What do you like best about Xmind?**

The only mind mapping application that is free to use forever, open source and syncs across platforms and devices. The user interface is simple and easy to learn quickly.

**What do you dislike about Xmind?**

Would definitely prefer better onboarding experience and support. I was looking for functionality to add videos and images etc and it took me a lot longer than expected to figure it out

**What problems is Xmind solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Quick, on click mindmaps that can be used in planning projects, meetings, brainstorming sessions. I have replaced boring ppt slides in all my presentations with interesting mind maps

  ### 14. Basic Mind Map

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 10, 2018

**What do you like best about Xmind?**

This software is great for creating basic fishbone, and other fault tree diagrams electronically

**What do you dislike about Xmind?**

It is very difficult to arrange a large mind map in such a way that it isn't messy or confusing as to what links up where. The program won't also let me put things in an orderly fashion the way I wish to see them.

**What problems is Xmind solving and how is that benefiting you?**

This software gives a very good update-able method to share among colleagues results of fault tree and fishbone style meetings. However, after a certain size, this product becomes clunky and difficult to make the diagrams readable.
