XignSys GmbH was founded in 2016 with the aim of eliminating passwords and radically changing the way the world logs in, without companies and administrations having to fundamentally change their technology stack or their processes. Funded by leading investors including Dr. Cornelius Börsch, the European Investment Fund (EIF) and Prof. Pohlmann (chairman of the board of the Bundesverband IT-Sicherheit, TeleTrusT), it is the mission of XignSys to enable the next generation of secure digital businesses by using secure X.509- based certificates are replaced. Almost 30 employees currently work at XignSys and the company headquarters are in Gelsenkirchen.
