Founded in 1986, it specialises entirely in two areas ‑ job scheduling and print management ‑ and supports customers running business‑critical batch and produc‑ tion printing worldwide. Its products are Xi‑Batch, a job scheduler, and Xi‑Text, a print and output manager. Xi‑Batch is a job scheduling and workload automation system for Unix and Linux. It replaces cron with dependency chaining across hosts, load levelling, a live interactive queue, per‑user security and full audit. Event‑driven and with no database dependency, it installs in minutes and runs from desktop to enterprise server.
