Feature Request:

It would be great if the XFiles Pro location path could remain unchanged when a record name is updated in Salesforce. This would help maintain consistency in file paths and avoid confusion with external links or integrations.

Because Salesforce storage is expensive, we needed a simple solution to transfer and access them on a platform that we have more (inexpensive) storage on, and since we are already in the Microsoft ecosystem, archiving to Sharepoint was a perfect solution. XFilesPro is pretty simple to use for this purpose and the support staff was very responsive to help us get both Salesforce and Microsoft 365 Sharepoint configured for our files. The downsides are that it does require individual licensing to see the files stored in Sharepoint via the Salesforce app, but unlicensed users can still fairly quickly access the files directly through our Sharepoint site/fileshare. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

We have vendors uploading sensitive files in Salesforce, but it wasn't syncing to SharePoint. With XfilesPro, component, we were able to sync the two platforms and organize the files in specified sub-folders. All of this automated. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

- xFiles' support team is the best! They can schedule a meeting within one or two days of creating the tickets, and they provide very detailed instructions to address business needs or issues.

- The folder structure is flexible and easy to set up, and I can set up different structures for different objects. I like that confidential files are not stored in Salesforce, but uploaded directly to our SharePoint, and I can control file access for certain Salesforce users.

- I like the new version of xFiles, which has more intuitive Setup pages and more detailed control on user access. It is very easy to integrate and authenticate now. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Not something I dislike, but a helpful tip that could get it set up more successful. Try to use a simple folder structure and use fields with permanent values as the folder name, e.g. record Id. We initially set up the folder name by concatenating the Account Name and the custom object's record Id. Then we realized many users change the Account Name, which ends up creating another folder in our SharePoint. (Ask the xFiles team's help with planning the folder structure would be beneficial.) Moving files and attachments out of Salesforce- but leaving the end user with a link to SharePoint Storage is a great way to save file storage costs.
