You are able to complete all your accounting/bookkeeping tasks in one place. The few times I have had to use customer support, I have had a prompt response and interaction with them until the issue was resolved. We moved from Quickbooks to Xero and the transition went smoothly from start to finish. Their ai banking reconciliation is wonderful. I was skeptical at first but after using it a few months, I am extremely happy with the way it works and the amount of time it saves me. I highly recommend using Xero for your small business! **What do you dislike about Xero?** There are 2 small downsides to using Xero for our company. First, they are not able to integrate with the credit union that we use for our checking/savings accounts. It adds an additional step each month of downloading the transactions into the software and therefore, we do not have up to date information daily. The other downside is that they do not have the option of setting up a finance charge for late payments on sales invoices. We have to manually calculate that finance charge and add it. These two things would not keep me from using Xero but it would save time if they could get those resolved. **What problems is Xero solving and how is that benefiting you?** The use of Xero has created a huge time-saving factor around the accounting/bookkeeping aspect of my job. From a performance perspective it’s very reliable and responsive, even when dealing with large volumes of transactions. In terms of pricing and ROI, the time savings from automation, bank feeds, and streamlined processes easily justify the cost compared with more manual systems. Support and onboarding have also been strong. The help centre is extensive, and it’s generally easy to find guidance when you need it. For teams moving from other accounting systems, the onboarding process is straightforward and well documented. I’ve also started to see the benefits of the AI and intelligent features, such as smart bank reconciliation suggestions and automated data capture, which continue to reduce manual work and improve accuracy over time. **What do you dislike about Xero?** To be honest there isn’t much to dislike. Overall it’s a very strong platform and works really well for our day-to-day finance operations. If I had to pick something, it would be that some of the more advanced reporting or customisation features can take a bit of time to configure if you’re trying to build very specific reports. Occasionally certain workflows require an add-on integration, but the marketplace of apps is large so there’s usually a solution available. These are fairly minor points though, overall the usability, automation, and visibility Xero provides far outweigh any small limitations. **What problems is Xero solving and how is that benefiting you?** Xero solves a lot of the manual and time-consuming aspects of finance management. Bank feeds and automated reconciliation remove a huge amount of data entry, which saves time and reduces the risk of errors. Because everything is cloud-based, our finance team, management, and external accountants can all access the same information when needed, which speeds up queries and keeps everyone aligned. Most of my clients prefer using Xero, and it is also the tool I feel most comfortable using in my day-to-day work. Xero is very easy to use, and I was able to learn it quickly compared to other tools. It is also easy to implement into my workflow since it fits well with the way I manage different clients and Xero's client tab is very easy to vaiate. I use it frequently, and it helps me stay organized across multiple accounts. The bank feed feature is one of the main reasons I like Xero, as the automated bank reconciliations save a lot of time and reduce manual work. The reporting features are also very useful for tracking and analyzing financial data for different clients. Another advantage is that Xero integrates well with other tools, which makes it easier to manage everything in one place. Earlier in my career, I used to handle many of these tasks manually, so Xero has made my work much more efficient and easier to manage. I also find the learning resources helpful. The course videos made it easier for me to understand the platform and improve how I use it. During my pro advisor certificate exam, I was required to reach the customer service and they are pretty fast. **What do you dislike about Xero?** One thing I find a bit inconvenient is that the partner program can be deactivated if you don’t have any clients to add. That said, I do appreciate that you can rejoin it at any time, which gives you some added flexibility. **What problems is Xero solving and how is that benefiting you?** Before using Xero, I often relied on spreadsheets to handle my accounting tasks. Although spreadsheets are flexible, they involve a lot of manual effort. I used to spend a significant amount of time entering transactions, making journal entries, updating records, and building reports by hand, which slowed everything down and increased the chance of mistakes. Xero addresses many of these issues by automating key parts of the workflow. We switched to Xero from ACS Financials because of these features, its interface ability, and the automation it provides, which even allowed us to trim our workforce by two people. **What do you dislike about Xero?** The reporting feature is very good, but there is room for improvement. It seems to be a little cumbersome when creating custom reports. The ability to build automations with Zapier is a big one for me, as it can identify invoices and receipts sent by email, and then automatically create a new bill in Xero or attach the receipt to a relevant transaction if it's already reconciled. I also use Zapier to sync my sales invoices to my CRM in Notion, so I have visibility of all invoices and their current status. I found that setting up Xero was quite easy for me since I didn't have any previous financials to manage, and I particularly liked the refreshed homepage. **What do you dislike about Xero?** Working directly with the API is a little bit challenging. Some of the syntax feels a little bit outdated. Querying for a transaction is pretty difficult.
