It has a very good dashboard. Setup Process is also very easy and Invoicing is the best feature as we can easily create invoices also its a double entry accounting software which is very good . The customer support service is not good. Also the reporting part needs to be improved . Customer Sales Reports are quite complex. Pricing is high so I don't like its pricing part much, It is best suited for small businesses but not too good for large ones as bak feed feature is also not apt. Account handling is an art and Xero fits well when it comes to its implementation. Through this platform I am in a position of generating the receipts for the same customer quite easily, because I do not have to enter the client’s data again and again it automates the repetitive tasks for me, so that I can save my time as well. the Xero certificate is difficult. there are questions that are not used in normal life and that makes the certificate difficult to obtain. The test needs to be more focused on the matters which are used in general practice. The payroll system should be more simplified and user-friendly as like the accounts and banking. Xero's platform is extremely easy to setup and navigate but still has all the features you need without being so robust that it's slow to navigate. You can integrate so many softwares through their open API and adjustments are a breeze. Porting over data from our spreadsheet or from Clio was a nightmare and would never reconcile. Getting help at first was very problematic as it was in New Zealand. We stopped using it after about a year or two as it was making our accounting for our law firm more cumbersome, confusing and complex. They did try to help us resolve our integration issues but then we seemed to be caught in a situation where each softwares' support teams was telling us it was the other sides issue. Accounting is not hard with Xero as it helps me to manage the payments and the online transactions as well. This software is very high in price even the most economical plans could be expensive for the small set ups, a medium plan should be adopted and must take this thing in account. Overpayments and unallocated payments are lumpy to deal with because Xero wants you to allocate them against an invoice.

Does not integrate with CharlieHR (there is some sort of disagreement between Xero and Charlie HR).

We have not presented problems and the objectives have had positive and effective results, but they should improve some functions such as when sending a document, you must save it and then search and send it since if you send it directly you only send a draft. As far as cloud-based accounting software goes, Xero is one of the finest options. I am an accountant/bookkeeper so:

It's very user-friendly, designed to be usable for non-accountants. All the debit/credits etc. happen at backend and user does most things in plain language

Secondly, support. It's quite an old software with a large user-base so it's forums and Help (Xero Central) has articles on most of the common troubleshooting issues and guides for using features.

The productivity features that save time for accountants and power users like Global shortcuts, Find and Redo (mass transactions), automatic matching of transactions, labels etc.

There are a few things that I would like to receive notifications for that at the moment cannot be accomodated. For example, when an invoice is paid, there is currently no way to get an email notification/confirmation. I'm not sure if it's our internet connection, but sometimes loading an account can be a bit slow. I use it almost everywhere, home, work, travel, and the load times always are about the same no matter what the speed of the internet connection. What I lean toward most is that the computerization and revealing abilities of the product. There are includes in order to address different wrong passages like Find and Recode and quite a bit of additional items to coordinate to different Softwares.
