There is no downside to X1. It is the most wonderful software on my PC because it make my entire PC usable for me. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is X1 Search solving and how is that benefiting you?

I work across a wide range of fields. Thousands of files in many format. I always remember phrases within documents. Saves the day to see matching files in a preview pane in seconds. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Search has improved so much with O365 that I find X1 to be redundant now Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about X1 Search?

Results searching in Outlook are comparable now. No need for a 2nd application any longer. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Easy to use and it is FAST. Searching for things I have created or received from others can be highly frustrating, and X1 solves this for me Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Nothing, it works great. I have friends with Macs who would love X1 so they should create a Mac client at some point ;-) Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
