We've been using Wyn Enterprise since its release in 2019 to generate our daily and weekly company reports, which are distributed via email in both Excel and PDF formats. The data for these reports originates from our financial system, and Wyn Enterprise has proven to be an invaluable tool for our reporting needs. User Interface and Integration: One of the standout features of Wyn Enterprise is its user-friendly interface for building reports. It integrates seamlessly with our SQL-Server environment, making it easy to retrieve and manipulate data. The report generation interface is intuitive, with a point-and-click design that allows users to set parameters for each report item, such as font, size, color, format, spacing, alignments, and padding. This flexibility ensures that our reports are not only functional but also visually appealing. Support and Reliability: The user support provided by Wyn Enterprise has been exceptional. We encountered an issue when an update failed to implement some features, rendering our Wyn environment unable to generate new reports. The support team was quick to respond, downloading logs from our server and working diligently to resolve the issue within a few days. Their prompt and effective assistance ensured minimal disruption to our reporting processes. Technical Requirements: While Wyn Enterprise is user-friendly, it does require some knowledge of SQL-Server, particularly in understanding how queries work to retrieve data for reports. This technical requirement is a small trade-off for the powerful capabilities and customization options that Wyn offers. Impact on Reporting Process: Wyn Enterprise has significantly improved our reporting process and efficiency. It has enabled us to keep various departments informed about their progress through weekly production reports. Additionally, we utilize Wyn for various auditing capabilities, such as tracking when new items are activated, monitoring sales prices, and managing business partner credit limits. The only potential downside that I can think of in using Wyn Enterprise is having to back up the entire Wyn Enterprise environment before applying updates. The updates provide bug fixes and new features but require some administrative time to back up the Wyn Enterprise environment before applying the updates. We selected this product to integrate with our existing platform. We evaluated almost all of the providers in the space, and the cost was not a major deciding factor. In the end, we found that Wyn covered all the needs for us to provide an integrated dashboard and reporting system for our clients. In addition, it allowed us to offer a self-service offering to our clients where we can silo the data and provide eth dashboard and report engines to them to build their own. Many of the other companies we evaluated were either limited on API, integration options, customizations, and data sources, to name a few. Wyn hit all the points on the head. This alone is not the issue, but the lack of documentation; since they are new, it is the dislike; they are still trying to build up their documentation to compete with their competitors. While we have seen an increase, we would love to double or triple down on this. While they do support third-party or build your visualizations, I would also like to see them investing in more rapid deployment of some other visualizations and investing in existing to make sure they do not become stale in the space. Wyn has been a game-changing addition to our tech stack. It has enabled us to save a massive amount of time for our engineering team by pushing more of the workload to BI-focused team members such as myself, and has allowed us to create new deliverables for clients at a speed that is unmatched. There are some things that I'd like to see improved about Wyn, for example permissioning and organization can be a bit clunky. That said, we've expressed these concerns to the support team and they've taken us incredibly seriously despite being a new and relatively small client of theirs. Prior to using Wyn, we had to generate new report pages and analyses in code using graphing libraries and other tools.
