One of my biggest worries about AI is that now even a simple Google search can lead anyone to misinformation about your businesses and it’s so hard to track it because AI rephrases it on every search.
Also, now it’s harder to track your SEO as searches are done using a bunch of different AI assistants.
So naturally a service to track AI citations was bound to be created. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It has an AI writing service. It feels like nowadays every service under the sun needs to have an AI paraphrasing thing. And all of them claim that it’s absolutely free of plagiarism.
In this case it makes a bit more sense because it’s at least an app which is actually related to AI. It still feels like a disservice, it’s an app which helps you find bad citations made by AI writing services but it also lets you write with AI.
Personally my biggest gripe is that it leads people to believe that they can replace their whole marketing team with AI when in reality AI is just a tool.
Another problem I have is that it cannot be used to track social media pages. If you try to track, for example, a Facebook page, it would probably give you information on Facebook in general or worse, mixed results with both things from you and Facebook. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
