I have incorporated them into my website packages as a way to tout website security. The plugin Smush is awesome, so is Defender Pro. Some of the other ones can be lacking in certain features, but most do really well. Their hosting plan so far has been good. If you run into trouble, their support team is top notch. **What do you dislike about WPMU DEV?** Their dashboard (aka the hub) is slightly clunky. I'm not a big fan of how you have to dig around to find info. For example, when setting up a new website, it took me some time to find the server IP Address. This didn't show up until I added a domain to the plan, which I thought was a little strange. **What problems is WPMU DEV solving and how is that benefiting you?** Great plugin stack that helps me sell websites and their maintenance packages much more easily. Their staff are friendly, but they are efficient and knowledgable, especially if you are also the technical staff and also speak backend jargon. My absolute favourite though would have to be the fact that they have 24/7 live chats for client support. I was worried at first, but the average turnaround time for support has been GREAT! Very little wait so a lot of my technical problems get solved super fast! Shout out to @Imran Khan at WPMUDEV for the help! **What do you dislike about WPMU DEV?** This is tough. I think I would have to say, their White Label plugin, or at least, one very specific aspect of it. If you are a reseller of their hosting, you manage it as part of your own account. As such you have to install their White Label Plugin (a Great plugin by the way!) in order to give your clients a 'Client Portal' to login to and manage their hosting affairs. Point is, the portal itself is also hosted on your domain. My problem is this: Many clients these days, out of sheer distrust (especially ones with bad IT experiences) don't feel comfortable not having direct control of their accounts. Meaning having to host the portal myself on my domain is probably going to hurt, not help that. **What problems is WPMU DEV solving and how is that benefiting you?** They are doing great by way of the business model for hosting. I need hosting for my clients. They offer hosting, and even White Label app functionality. It's a win-win. Also, they don't treat me like I don't know anything about hosting. Their interface, while stripped down yes (managed solutions always are to some level), they still give me the facilities to do everything that I truly care about from a management perspective. They offer 'WordPress Optimised Hosting' but don't strip traditional hosting bare and give you a guide-railed interface where you can barely do anything. They are always there. There is no wait. And they truly go above and beyond to resolve the issue. They can even go into your site and tweak a few things. And advise step by step if you have to do it. Free plugins that are extremely serious, saving tons of money, dedicated server, so much to list! **What do you dislike about WPMU DEV?** I got nothing. and I have been thinking it over for 30 minutes. They just get better and better, more and more. I have used literally every host there is, WPMUD ROCKS and they all speak English. **Recommendations to others considering WPMU DEV:** If you are using WordPress, this is for you. Cheap hosting will cost you much more. I would never think of anything else to use hands down, the support is just too good. If you are selling hosting or you are using it for yourself you can't lose. I am really thinking about doing web design for other people. Currently my business I deal with thousands of customers and what A dream to have less than 50 and do updates and services on websites. I could absolutely build some wicked websites and even help with SEO and marketing. I have doing it myself for over 25 years since the internet first came out. If you need any help or questions just ask and I will be more than happy to answer. I could never get good help building a website and got scammed so many times out of thousands of dollars until I finally learned myself. WPMUDEV is the best there is. It is not "cheap" it is outstanding quality and the best that you will ever get. From staging to FTP, plugins and much much more. I have tried two other 'lower cost' services which host the sites on shared servers. There is a night and day difference in the responsiveness (It got so bad earlier that adding pages via wp-admin gave me jitters). The migration to WPMU dev was smooth. I also love the live chat customer care compared to email-only support from previous hosting providers. My support guy (Jair) was highly trained and patient. I also love the fact that a bunch of pro plugins is bundled with the hosting plan including security and performance plugins). They are pre-installed so I didn't have to do anything. Yes, it costs more than 'low-cost' hosts but there are no hidden costs (my previous hosting provider quadrupled the subscription fee after the first year). I am glad that WPMU does not resort to such tactics. They have a month-by-month plan (no annual contract). Lastly, the UI for managing the site (including domain, plugins, updates, etc.) is super clean. **What do you dislike about WPMU DEV?** Well, it is too early for me to find any cons. I guess there is perhaps scope for revisiting the pricing. Between Lite Bronze plan ($12/month) and Lite Silver ($30/month), there is a huge difference. Perhaps $20/month would make more sense. The jump is too steep. **What problems is WPMU DEV solving and how is that benefiting you?** Hosting my website at a reasonable price, making sure the site is fast, secure, configurable, and SEO friendly. The UI makes the job of maintaining the website a breeze.
