I have never had to wait longer than 5 minutes and usually can get an agent within seconds. The support agents are very knowledgeable and often find a solution quickly. If a solution is not found quickly, they stay on the issue until one is found; this sometimes takes over an hour. **What do you dislike about WPMU DEV?** I like the old plugins they had a few years ago. I used several plugins on several sites that I only found from WPMU DEV. When they discontinued maintaining and developing those plugins, I was disappointed. **What problems is WPMU DEV solving and how is that benefiting you?** Support! WPMU DEV is my go-to support system when I have an issue with a plugin or website development. So it's hard to tell which settings to turn on and off. They know WordPress (WP)! I love their support for all my sites. If there is an issue - created by one of their plugins, or anything else really, then it is not a problem for their team to sort out. As I host over 20 sites, and use their hosting and plugin suit I get a lot out of my Agency account. I am just a small business owner, and a bit of a techy with some side projects I love to make sites for - which is why I love WP. Simple, easy and fully custom sites - with or with out some coding on the side. **What do you dislike about WPMU DEV?** Not a lot of downsides to them. I did have a recent poor experience where there was an accounting problem, and due to that issue my whole account got deleted. It took a while - BUT their support was super helpful and did most of the work quick as you can ask them to. Overall it was a decent experience - way better than AWS or similar where I would have had to do a hundred hours of work myself. **What problems is WPMU DEV solving and how is that benefiting you?** No hosting plans to worry about No worrying about backups, updating or stuffing around with code (if you don't want to) Easy, set and forget websites. Again, the support makes it worth it but still, it was a tad high for a small site. They fixed that with the newest hosting plan. I've never enountered that level of support anywhere else. For me, the most useful support feature is the live chat which is available 24/7. Other companies could learn a lot from what WPMU DEV does. Many focus on the products and lack in support, but WPMU DEV does great in both areas. **What do you dislike about WPMU DEV?** When you resell the hosting, the price of the hosting packages are quite high. I love that I now have a staging area to test things before making them go live, which was not something I had in my former cpanel environment. I have been using WPMU Dev for a long time and have watched each of its apps evolve into finely polished tools. They are now easier than ever to set up on each new website I create, and they have been tuned to relieve a great deal of the tedious stress from optimizing performance and boosting SEO (among many other things). I began using their free tools but quickly saw the value in using the pro version and upgraded to an agency account. I now use WPMU Dev to manage all of my websites, whether WPMU Dev hosts them or not, and I can safely say they have saved me hundreds (if not thousands) of hours of development and management time. I must say that their customer service chat has been supremely helpful and timely as well. Having an agency account means I have 24-hour access to specialists that can help me with my development problems. This has also proven invaluable. **What do you dislike about WPMU DEV?** There are still a few hiccups that I have run into, from time to time, which I hope can be fixed in the near future. One is that I still cannot rely on the Branda tool for inserting tracking codes. I used to use it, but then found it had some sort of glitch where it would sometimes erase the contents of my tracking code entry and every time I tried to re-enter the code and save, it would still appear blank if I closed it and opened it again. I have been forced to use an alternative header & footer code injection tool to reliably insert non-Google-Analytics tracking codes onto my site. **What problems is WPMU DEV solving and how is that benefiting you?** They handle all of the billing pertaining to my web hosting, web support services, and domain name reselling. They optimize all of my images AND deliver them at optimal sizes using their CDN. They optimize performance by effectively managing my cache and compressing my site assets. They have helped me achieve excellent SEO scores on all of my websites with SmartCrawl. They have saved my so much time with their Shipper tool because I have created a preset site that I copy to all new sites that I create, thus saving me hundreds of hours in setup time every year. They make backing up all of my websites so easy. They give me peace of mind because their Defender plugin has helped make my websites far more secure and reduced the amount of spam I receive to almost 0. I've been developing client websites and have searched for comparable premium services at affordable prices. I originally started using Smush and Hummingbird on my business website, which helped us rank well for page speeds. I tried a few other plugins to obtain similar/better rates, but I needed to pay a minimum of $50 annually on top of the other plugins we used. When considering cybersecurity, I liked the features Defender offered. The Pro version offered features I couldn't pass up, but it also came with the Pro versions of all the plugins my website needed. I was able to ditch the additional subscriptions. The services are comparable (and, in some cases, better) than what you get on the market for more expensive plugins. Support is also phenomenal. **What do you dislike about WPMU DEV?** As expected, I had a few growing pains transferring my websites to use these plugins. I'd love to see support for moving existing data from similar, popular plugins. Often on professional plugins the assistance tries to find an error outside their competence to tell you to solve it yourself. With WPMUDEV I have always found attentive and capable assistance. The plugins work very well and the support is top notch. **What do you dislike about WPMU DEV?** I had problems with the renewal. They were very kind but I lost days because my card was not accepted by their payment system and they ONLY accept credit cards. I had to ask an acquaintance for a credit card and I had to transfer money to his account in order to renew. It seems absurd to me that they don't accept paypal or other payment systems and that they haven't found an alternative solution.
