**What do you like best about WP Engine?**

Theirs support is top notch! Everytime I had an issue it was always resolved with care and efficiency. The UI and UX is easy to navigate and I do love all the the setting and option they give you to manage your sites. As well as there dashboards which give you quick insights to performance, plugins, updates, and site health.

**What do you dislike about WP Engine?**

I do feel it can be quite pricey as in terms of what is offered and I wish they would have more tiers or al e carte  options to select what I truly need at a reasonable price.

**What problems is WP Engine solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I had a technical issue and reached out to their tech support team. I really like how quickly I’m able to get in touch with someone who understands what I’m dealing with and can resolve it relatively fast.

  ### 2. Reliable Hosting Without Constant Maintenance

**What do you like best about WP Engine?**

We moved to WP Engine after dealing with ongoing unexplained downtime issues with GoDaddy, and the difference has been noticeable from the start. Their pre-sales team was extremely helpful during the evaluation process and took the time to answer all of our technical and operational questions without overselling anything.

The onboarding and migration process was also much smoother than expected. WP Engine included a managed migration service at no extra cost, and their team handled the move professionally and with very little disruption on our side. What could have been stressful ended up being pretty straightforward.

One of the biggest benefits for us has been the management tools. The admin portal is easy to work with, backups and environment management are simple, and having WordPress core and plugin updates handled for us saves a lot of maintenance time.

Performance has also improved significantly since the move. We saw an immediate improvement after leaving GoDaddy, and since our first day on WP Engine, performance has improved another 29% based on WP Engine's own metrics.

**What do you dislike about WP Engine?**

So far, we really haven't run into any major issues with the platform. We also haven't been customers long enough to speak to the long-term experience yet, especially around scaling and support over multiple years. If I had to point out a downside, it would probably be that WP Engine costs more than other hosting providers, but in our case the added reliability, management tools, and support have justified the difference.

**What problems is WP Engine solving and how is that benefiting you?**

WP Engine has reduced the amount of time we spend managing and troubleshooting our hosting environment. Before the move, we were constantly dealing with uptime concerns and having to babysit performance issues. The platform has been much more stable, and we can spend more time focused on the site itself instead of maintaining the infrastructure.

**What do you like best about WP Engine?**

I find WP Engine fantastic as a host for a number of my clients' websites. Their security gives me peace of mind, knowing that my clients' sites are secure and issues can be addressed immediately thanks to their numerous tools. I appreciate their fantastic support team because they're always willing to help with any technical issues like plugins or code. The global edge security, as well as their partnership with Nitro Pack, has improved my clients' page speed scores, which benefits our marketing efforts. Hands down, the support and communication are great. At any time, I can reach a real person and get things done. They also have an extraordinarily helpful AI tool that troubleshoots issues quickly. Additionally, their seamless WordPress login system and the ability to switch between different clients' systems within their dashboard as an agency partner are incredibly helpful. WP Engine’s migration system is like a wizard, making file transfers from other hosts like GoDaddy easy, although BigCommerce needed additional steps. Moreover, the service is consistent, which is why I recommend WP Engine to every single client.

**What do you dislike about WP Engine?**

It can come off as a little pricey, but like I said, the value really justifies the price.

**What problems is WP Engine solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use WP Engine for hosting multiple client websites. It provides excellent security, support for server management, and ensures uptime. Their AI tool and support team resolve issues quickly, saving us from hiring more staff, letting us focus on our goals.

**What do you like best about WP Engine?**

I find WP Engine really helpful for managing our large, WordPress multisite environments. It provides the server processing and hosting power needed to handle the complexity of 100s of sub-sites effectively. The interface is really easy, making tasks like adding domains and setting DNS straightforward, and the SSL automation is also a plus. Their support has always been fantastic, consistently helping me track down issues like slowness by looking through server logs and helping with usage spikes. They guide me step by step on fixing issues, which simplifies the process for me. Overall, WP Engine meets our needs well, and everything has worked the way we needed it to.

**What do you dislike about WP Engine?**

Our account is kinda complex. We have several Wordpress multisite environments over a few different servers. And moving the installs to different servers can kinda get confusing and difficult for me to communicate what I need to support. So having clear notes on back end or something like that to make sure that whatever support agent I get can quickly and easily see our complex setup would be helpful.

I use WP Engine to manage complex WordPress multisite environments, making administration easier with powerful hosting and a user-friendly interface. It simplifies server processes, handles SSL automation, and provides fantastic support that helps track and resolve issues.

**What do you like best about WP Engine?**

WPEngine is consistently helpful through their chat support.  Today, I received help with two sites in one conversation.  I rate them 5-Stars... every time!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Hands down the best customer service, especially when their system occasionally has flaws.... they are always ready to get to the root of the problem and get it fixed.  But even when I have issues that are really on my end... in the Wordpress site, they try to bend over backwards to help me fix my problem.  

We've been hosting sites for our clients on WPEngine for over 10 years.  We've had other companies try to take our business, but we always turn them down.  

Love Love Love the dashboard and how it works.  It didn't take me long to learn how to use it 5 years ago, when I joined our company, and I have been able to update my knowledge over the years as the system changes.

**What do you dislike about WP Engine?**

The one thing I don't like... Is the semi-yearly call to ask me to upgrade my servers to a more expensive plan.  but they are not insistent, they try to be helpful.  And their explanation of "use of resources" was so vague in these calls, I had to do my own research to find out what they really meant.  No one in their sales team could really explain it. 

but since that is my only complaint about WPEngine, I give them 5 stars.

**What problems is WP Engine solving and how is that benefiting you?**

404 errors. Redirect errors. Plugin failures. Go live issues. 

They are consistently able to help me pinpoint problems in my site, and often times they are able to fix it for me.

I really value the speed and reliability of WP Engine's hosting. It's premium hosting with the best and fastest servers we've ever used, and we've tried many different providers before. Another aspect I like is the partner program tools specifically built for agencies like ours, making it easy to access all our clients with one-click logins instead of dealing with various individual logins. The automated nightly backups are a big plus as well, letting us be more creative with our websites and ensuring that if anything goes wrong, we have a safe spot to roll back to. I also appreciate the ability to clear caching with just one click, which makes testing and development a breeze. The fact that WP Engine offers these essential tools right out of the box saves us dozens of hours per website, which is fantastic.

I think navigation could be a little easier.

It's been a while, but after their Studiopress acquisition, you can use tons of Free Templates from WPEngine (which otherwise you would generally had to pay - considering the template quality)

**What do you dislike about WP Engine?**

Pricing gets way higher as you scale, apart from that they're awesome.

**Recommendations to others considering WP Engine:**

If you want a Hosting Service, where the Support Team is always there for helping you in case you face any issues; then give it a try :)

**What problems is WP Engine solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The benefits of using WPEngine include how you can enable SSL & CDN etc., quite easily.

Plus, moving things between Dev, Staging & PROD environments make the Development, Testing & Implementation process way more manageable.

WP Engine’s support team is excellent. Even with a tricky WAF false positive, the agent stayed engaged, investigated multiple angles, and helped me find a workaround so I could get unblocked quickly. Support felt knowledgeable, patient, and genuinely helpful.

**What do you dislike about WP Engine?**

At times, the security layer can be a little too aggressive and flag false positives, which can slow down straightforward tasks like replacing files. Still, when this does happen, support is responsive and helpful, so it feels more like minor friction than a major problem.

WP Engine solves the challenges of securely hosting and managing WordPress sites without putting the burden on our internal team. I like WP Engine because it's super easy to use and very reliable. It provides a super reliable hosting environment ensuring our client sites are always up and online. I find it really easy to manage updates, security, and site monitoring, which takes care of the overall health of our client sites. This ease means I don't have to think about the infrastructure, and I know it's secure, which gives me peace of mind. Additionally, the initial setup was incredibly easy; creating an account, migrating sites, and updating everything is straightforward. The support and infrastructure are great, making WP Engine valuable to us.

**What do you dislike about WP Engine?**

Sometimes the support could be faster. It can feel like we're waiting too long to get a response. I also find it annoying to have to repeatedly say I want to talk to a human. An option to bypass the AI agent in the support channel would be nice because sometimes I just know I need to go directly to a human.

I find their support to be exceptional, it's super quick to be connected to an agent and the resolution is  always fast. I also like their page speed optimisation suite for achieve a great user experience and fast scores on Google Page Speed Insights.

They could drive more awareness if you're reaching a bandwidth or visitor limit. I have been caught out with an overcharge before.

I use WP Engine for hosting and managing client sites, and I appreciate how it simplifies a lot of the process. The managed hosting makes it easy to resolve issues related to DNS, which can otherwise be time-consuming. I find WP Engine very easy to use, and the staging environments make it simple to test things. They are easy to spin up and copy to or from, allowing for quick testing, sharing updates with clients, and pushing changes before moving to production. The initial setup of WP Engine was super easy, which was a big plus for me.

It's a bit expensive.

**What do you like best about WP Engine?**

There are a few aspects I appreciate: the automatic backups provide peace of mind, and having access to a 24x7 support system is very reassuring. Additionally, the Git deployment feature is quite useful.

**What do you dislike about WP Engine?**

There are two main issues I have encountered. First, I am unable to run cron jobs directly on the server, which limits my ability to automate tasks as needed. Second, I cannot easily view server resources and utilization at a glance, making it difficult to monitor performance efficiently.

**What problems is WP Engine solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I don't feel the need to stress or worry about any server-related changes, as the support team manages everything quite well. Their handling of these matters gives me peace of mind.

Smart Plugin Manager is really great for my clients who lack a dedicated employee to maintain plugins.  Another nice feature: the warning system to alert customers when a plugin is found vulnerable.

**What do you dislike about WP Engine?**

The support is now more AI-driven, which I understand too an extant, but there are times when you need to speak with a real human and that is more difficult to achieve now.  Also, I think they should expand the storage allotment for basis accounts. It's tough to run dev and staging environments without going over the quota.

**What problems is WP Engine solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Allows my clients - small businesses - the ability to perform managed hosting with a dedicated employee involved.

I’m using WP Engine to run the hosting portion of my new business. My rep and anyone I’ve ever talked with on chat has always been nothing but informative and helpful. They truly feel like an extension of my team.

**What do you dislike about WP Engine?**

The going live/adding a new domain process feels a little clunky. I’m never sure if the standard practice of running a search and replace is running or not. I often have to chat in to resolve dns issues going live.

The ability to “white label” is huge for me. Clients stay out of hosting accounts and depend on me to keep things running. And I can always count on support to troubleshoot and help me keep things running smooth as a I scale my business.

**What do you like best about WP Engine?**

Exceptional support staff. The responses given were personal and detailed to the situation at hand. Migrating my site was a super simple task. There were only a few, slight bugs in the process, but they were easily squashed by the amazing support team. I do greatly appreciate that they are well trained to Europe and U.S. standards, making communication also a breeze.

Also, any changes I needed made that I did not have access to were done promptly by their team. I mainly needed WPEngine due to its ease of setup in a multisite environment.

**What do you dislike about WP Engine?**

Not much here to be honest. I think the plugins are not needed as their are cheaper alternatives available, but otherwise very great experience, and our old site that we migrated received ~2 second increase for FPL and massively increased our LPL.

The biggest problem we had was mutli-site capabilities in the WP ecosystem. As all of our dealers use WP, it was a simple decision to move to this platform. As we have a Software Engineer on-staff at Cigarette Racing, we plan to rebuild, and in some cases, build, their sites utilizing sub-domains, so brand image, UI/UX are familiar, yet distinct across the dealership network.

Our sites are hosted with generally no issues with uptime whatsoever. WPEngine has consistently provided excellent support and hosting services and has thoroughly assisted us with several issues that we have had.

My only honest complaint is the support chat no longer makes a sound when you are not actively tabbed into the window anymore, making it easy to miss updates from the support chat if you are, say, working on another task while talking to them.

The managed hosting component of WPE's product suite is a game changer for my agency. **What do you like best about WP Engine?**

Customer Support and ease of use are key components of a great business tool.  Since the website is used every day - making sure that the hosting is both reliable and secure is critical.  It easily integrates with our other tools, and provides the best number of standard features of any host we have used.

**What do you dislike about WP Engine?**

Like all WordPress sites, this can be a technical beast.  WP Engine adds a layer of tools for developers and training for selling sites, that are not set up for a single sign-on, which is a little annoying.

**What problems is WP Engine solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have not had a single major website issue since moving to WP Engine.  Our last  hosting company was a disaster and we had hacks, and viruses, every 90 - 120 days...

Previous Response: I genuinely believed WP Engine was the best hosting company on the planet. I used to rave about their performance, reliability, and support — and to be fair, their hosting infrastructure was excellent. Speed, uptime, and technical stability were never an issue. It’s what made the eventual termination of my account all the more disappointing.

**What do you dislike about WP Engine?**

Previous Response: After nearly a decade with WP Engine, I was shocked when they terminated my account over three forged legal documents without conducting proper verification. I reached out directly to the former owner and acting CEO, explained the situation, and even referenced our feature in The New York Times and a recent Bloomberg documentary exposing the same individual behind the fraudulent complaints. Despite this, they showed no interest in the facts or defending a long-standing customer. Their unwillingness to investigate or support me during this attack was deeply disappointing.

**What problems is WP Engine solving and how is that benefiting you?**

WP Engine provided solid hosting and, on occasion, helped mitigate denial-of-service (DDoS) attacks. However, those moments often came with delays and friction. Now that my primary website is protected by Google Project Shield, I’ve seen how seamless and proactive real protection can be. Compared to that, WP Engine’s response to threats always felt like a temporary fix rather than a long-term solution.

The customization of the product is only limited by the user's creativity. The included features cover nearly every need I had. Customer support was extremely fast to find a solution for my needs and was very helpful.

The learning curve can be steep for someone with less experience but the content is organized in a way that is easy to remember once the user's skills develop.

Advanced Custom Fields is almost required to have a stylish and functional Wordpress site. ACF helps me save time in designing my websites and ensures a uniform look across them.
