"Interview Experience Review for Security Engineer Role"
5/5
What do you like best about Woven?

The interview stood out as quite unique compared to current standards for assessments, and I appreciated how easy the user interface was to use. I also found that it offered a solid range of functional features, which I really enjoyed. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Woven?

I believe candidates would greatly benefit from having additional time to consider the scenarios and questions. This extra time would allow them to express their findings and thoughts more clearly, resulting in a more comprehensive and accurate representation of the candidate for the employer. "Redefining Developer Assessments: A Fresh Perspective"
5/5
What do you like best about Woven?

After struggling with usable coding assessment platforms, it's refreshing when an online IDE just works—especially with features like autocompletion.

Nothing notable happened in this space until Woven entered the market. Building on their previous solution, they created something innovative. Their assessments revolve around work simulations where you tackle tasks such as communicating with peers at various levels or even non-technical stakeholders. This communication follows an analysis of a problem presented in a very realistic scenario.

The coding challenges remain fairly traditional but are highly specific about what is expected in your solution. The problems are well-defined, pointing out areas like handling money calculations or ensuring correct date computations.

Finally, you receive a detailed assessment report. Instead of a score, the report provides a breakdown of each task, highlighting what you did well and areas for. There's no vague feedback—everything is concrete, with each task assessed from multiple angles.

In summary, this solution offers a fresh, positive approach to automated developer assessments, adding value for both companies and developers alike. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Woven?

The online IDE needs improvement, still is not at the level of remote VsCODE. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Candidates love these assessments"
5/5
What do you like best about Woven?

I ask almost every candidate who passes the screening for their thoughts on the process. With only rare exceptions, they say that it's probably the best, most realistic technical screening they've taken. I think this leaves the candidate with a strongly positive first impression of our company, which is very valuable.

Also, the screenings are actually good. Holistic, not just leet code (e.g. simulated code reviews, systems design / debugging brainstorms, etc.). I feel very comfortable letting Woven act as a strong filter on inbound candidates. And the Woven team is extremely responsive, receptive to feedback, and has repeatedly put in extra effort to customize the assessments to our needs.

The integration with Lever is very convenient. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Woven?

The actual coding section is still a bit too easy for a Senior SWE position, in my opinion. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Excellent Tool That Delivers Great Results"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Woven?

The tests are convenient and closely resemble the tasks that engineers handle in their daily work. Answers are reviewed by real engineers, not just automated systems. This approach helps companies streamline their hiring process and proves to be effective. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Woven?

Candidates may find it hard or time consuming because the tasks are realistic, especially if they not use to the online model. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Fair, Real-World Problem Solving in a Structured, Professional Format"
5/5
What do you like best about Woven?

The most helpful part tis the emphasis on problem solving and real world thinking rather than memorization or trick questions. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Woven?

One downside is that some of the problems can feel a bit rigid or artificial, which doesn't always reflect real world coding scenarios. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"This is a great tool"
5/5
What do you like best about Woven?

I use Woven as a part of my technical assessment for an interview. And was very fun. For sure the process is very likely to a real world situation and until now was the best process I have had. Very dinamic, very usefull, very detailed with information to help us. It means the tech challenge was not only a difficult problem to solve, but give me all necessary information to go foward. And the tool itself was very good, very responsive and I was able to edit the code and debug and test to check if it was working properly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Woven?

To be honest there is nothing that I really disliked. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Engaging and thoughtful experience that mirrors real-world challenges"
5/5
What do you like best about Woven?

Woven does a great job offering a variety of realistic and engaging assessments. I appreciated how easy it was to get started, no setup needed, and the interface was clean and intuitive.

I especially liked that the simulation included coding, code review, and a brainstorming section. This feature variety goes beyond most platforms and helps assess problem-solving, communication, and analytical thinking, not just algorithm skills. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Woven?

The code review section was limited to just 15 minutes, which felt too short considering the number of files (10+). It made it difficult to provide thoughtful and comprehensive feedback. Increasing the time to 30 minutes would make it more balanced and realistic. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
