"Transparent, Respectful, and Supportive Interview Experience"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Woven?

I took a Woven assessment as part of a job interview. As a candidate, I thought Woven was more transparent and respectful of my time than other interview platforms. Because I get human feedback from my attempt, it makes me feel like the company values my personal growth. It seems that they can accommodate a much wider array of assessments than typical LeetCode-style algorithm problems. My tasks were a written response after diagnosing a bug, and writing tests for a pre-existing code block (using a typical TypeScript framework).

Using alternatives like CodeSignal and HackerRank, it feels like "if I don't get maximum points, I've wasted an hour of my life", while with Woven I feel much less pressure and anxiety (even if the problems are of comparable difficulty)

They claim to be able to detect when candidates abuse AI tools using a different, potentially more accurate method than other platforms. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Woven?

I thought it was odd that the interviewee interface defaulted to the test results instead of the problem description. I certainly need to see the instructions before I can complete the task.

There was a noticeable delay between requesting tests be ran and the tests actually running, presumably so the backend could spin up a container. I wonder if integrating a solution like WebContainers would help here. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Intuitive Platform That Truly Showcases Engineering Skills"
5/5
What do you like best about Woven?

The platform is intuitive and feels native to the actual work experience of the job that I was applying to. If you have experience with an IDE, and other coding tools, then Woven has built an experience suited just for you. I used Woven as part of my job interview for a Frontend software engineer position and felt like it better showcased my efficiency and engineering abilities, much more than memorizing Leetcode solutions. I am able to showcase both my soft skills and technical skills, which is so amazing! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Woven?

The tabs where you're able to select between the test results, IDE settings, instructions for the assessment, etc., felt unnatural at first because it opened on the test results, rather than instructions tab. Maybe have the instructions tab opened first, or have it flashing when the test first begins so that users know to immediately open that and read the prompt for the assessment itself. "Realistic Challenges That Feel Like Real Work"
5/5
What do you like best about Woven?

The challenges felt like actual work tasks Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Woven?

I encountered an issue in the final challenge that was difficult to troubleshoot without access to the full codebase or more detailed error messages. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Straightforward tool, vague scoring"
4/5
What do you like best about Woven?

It was really easy to start. I clicked the link and the test just opened without any setup. The layout is simple, nothing confusing, and the tasks felt close to the kind of quick debugging you run into when working on a school project or a small feature. It did not feel like a long or heavy assignment, which I appreciated. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Woven?

Some of the prompts felt a bit unclear, and there were a couple moments where I was not totally sure what direction they wanted. The feedback afterward was also pretty light, so it was hard to tell exactly what I missed. It would help to see a little more detail so you know what to improve for next time. "Inclusive Tech Assessment Experience"
5/5
What do you like best about Woven?

I took a Woven assessment as part of a job interview and had a great experience. I like Woven's inclusive and innovative approach. It goes beyond traditional live coding and instead presents an environment that reflects how tech professionals actually work. It allowed me to research syntax and draw inspiration from community-driven solutions--just like I would in a real analyst role. The customer service is also amazing because they personally reach out to you and answer your questions. The team also provided excellent resources to prepare--both technically and in terms of getting comfortable with the platform. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Woven?

I had some quirks to work through as I moved my code from my preferred tool to the assessment tool. In my case, I didn't catch the differences in capitalization of column titles when importing csv into my Jupyter notebook versus the Woven platform. That made ease of use a bit difficult. "The perfect real-world simulation of software engineering work"
5/5
What do you like best about Woven?

I really appreciated the concept and the thoughtful structure of the assessment. The prep guide and the instructions given in advance helped me set my expectations and prepare effectively. This approach encouraged me to concentrate on developing my skills rather than simply memorizing solutions to specific problems.

The scenarios were also great real-world simulations rather than abstract puzzles that online assessments often use to have.

I would like to give more assessments like this. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Woven?

The coding environment did not feel as seamless as I would expect from an assessment platform. Additionally, the tests seemed to run somewhat slowly.

Customer Support didn't reply to the mails I have been making regarding clarifications. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Intuitive IDE-Like Experience with Fast React/JS Previews"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Woven?

I used Woven as part of a job application. I've used similar tools in the past but Woven was much more intuitive and more like the IDE I use every day. I was in a React/JS test and when I made changes to the code the preview window reloaded quickly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Woven?

The tests I took were time based. Which was ok, but the timer was a bit hard to see. This is a personal preference I'm sure, but I would have like it to be a bit more prominent. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
