Worst experience we've ever had with an EOR provider **Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars **Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.) **Reviewed Date:** December 18, 2023 **What do you like best about WorkMotion?** The only positive experience we had was our onboarding process - our Account Manager back then and the initial collaboration with our first CSM. But this lasted just 2 weeks, after this the CSM was not reachable anymore. **What do you dislike about WorkMotion?** The service in all aspects. We have been using Workmotion for almost 2 years now, and are happy to offboard our last employee. The customer support and service seem like it's non-existent, our contacts where overwhelmed, incompetent, slow in responding, we had to constantly chase them for feedback and it has simply been a nightmare to work with them. Delayed payroll in Spain and the Netherlands. This is by far one of the biggest pain points and simply an absolute no-go. In the Netherlands, payroll was delayed 2x, and the worst part is, that Workmotion never informed us proactively about that, but it was always us, who had to flag it to them and push them to resolve it. An absolute nightmare again. In Spain, they had several issues with their bank transfers, resulting in delay of 1-2 days, and again, no proactive flagging from Workmotion's end. Billing: almost every month, we had errors on our invoices. Corrections took incredibly long. Offboarded employees were still paid a salary by Workmotion in the following month (even though they should have been off the payroll) resulting in a huge mess on the employees' taxation. Several offboarding cases have been a nightmare due to the incompetency of their team. We simply do not have any trust in them anymore. This is only a small portion of everything that went wrong and we could go on with the list, but we are honestly tired of working with Workmotion. We've had so many headaches because of them, and it's just a relief to leave them now. **What problems is WorkMotion solving and how is that benefiting you?** - ### 2. Every invoice we received was incorrect, their teams point at each other, my employees have to pay too much tax and we're still non the wiser. **What problems is WorkMotion solving and how is that benefiting you?** Hiring local teams. ### 3. For countries that have high volatility on FX rates, Workmotion does not provide any support and it causes lost money. They work with third-party entities in Turkey and that entity does not care about anything related to money. The second thing is expenses. They managed it really badly and I had to pay double taxes and Workmotion didn't take any responsibility for this. **What problems is WorkMotion solving and how is that benefiting you?** They assume they are an EOR company, but should work on it longer. No benefits. ### 4. WorkMotion relies on various local vendors like GoGlobal to faciliate their local employment, which over-complicates the process. Their customer service is either slow to respond or unresponsive. Furthermore, there have been delays in salary disbursements, even though we consistently pay our invoices to WorkMotion promptly. **What problems is WorkMotion solving and how is that benefiting you?** Our aim was to utilize an EOR (Employer of Record) that would allow us to recruit and onboard employees irrespective of their location. Although the concept was appealing and their sales representative made numerous assurances, the reality has been challenging. In hindsight, we would have preferred an EOR that manages its own entities and places less emphasis on its software. ### 5. It's differentiated. **What do you dislike about WorkMotion?** 1. The CS team does not answer at all if you do not escalate. Even they do not answer within a week. 2. The CS team does not actually resolve your problems to get staff payroll process working. In fact it seems they just do not care if you actually get your staff paid or not. 3. Consequently, I have missed payroll now TWICE. We were not able to get staff paid in June. We were also not able to get staff paid in July. And now 29 August looks like we are missing August payroll too. And from my point of view they do not care or help. **What problems is WorkMotion solving and how is that benefiting you?** They do not solve any problem at the present. They cause problems by setting expectation that you can get staff paid, but it does not do it. This review only concerns the WorkDirect model offered; other option I have not tried. **Official Response from Monika Klimek:** > Hello, We’re really sorry you’ve had a bad experience with us. The goalposts keep changing as they adjust their requirements, which has been an extremely lengthy and frustrating experience. The process went smoothly and fast. **What problems is WorkMotion solving and how is that benefiting you?** It was of crucial importance for us not to lose this employee that held an essential position in the company for many years.
