Gone are the days when we would repeat the same information week after week. With the arrival of Softstart, we have built our video bank of information for new employees and we can now spend quality time getting to know them better and answering their questions. The fact that employees have access to so many files and information before their first day makes their arrival much easier and they can always refer to them if they have any questions. In addition, the onboarding templates save a lot of time in planning! We also use it with employees who have been with our company for several years. If an employee has to go out and do a few tasks on a big project, Softstart maximizes access to information and provides all the context needed to do the job effectively. It takes the overwhelm out of the process that every new hire must go through to be successful. I think that every system has caveats, however, Softstart has always been transparent and has never overpromised on something they cannot provide. I do wish we could leave start dates TBD until we have a firm date.
